I can't stand cleaning the cats litter tray of making sodding pack lunches even though they only take a few minutes to do. What jobs do you hate doing?

OP posts:
Straycatstrut · 12/11/2019 18:10

Washing up. I don't mind literally ANYTHING else, I hate getting my hands and sleeves wet and dealing with dirty pans and cutlery and plates.

Very satisfying when it's all done though.... only for it to pile up again the next day.

Tinkobell · 12/11/2019 18:10

Blow drying my hair....so actually, I never do! 😁

Shalom23 · 12/11/2019 18:13

Wrapping presents.

Toomuchtrouble4me · 12/11/2019 18:14

Emptying the dishwasher

Localocal · 12/11/2019 18:17

Hoovering. I absolutely hate that thing.

SarfE4sticated · 12/11/2019 18:18

I hate bins, they gross me out, especially the food waste bin.
I love anything to do with my great love the dishwasher, cleaning the filters, filling the salt, generally pampering her. She makes me so happy.
I also quite like making the lunches, really enjoy packing the tupperware container so everything fits perfectly - a bit like Tetris in my mind

Earthakitty · 12/11/2019 18:18

Changing the duvet cover.
Hanging washing out
Putting the bins back after collection
Cleaning the windows
Dusting
Cleaning the bath
Blow drying my hair
Putting in contact lenses
Taking out contact lenses
Putting on make up

I think id better stay in bed for the rest of my life.....

MrsBadcrumble123 · 12/11/2019 18:21

Cooking dinner EVERY night then having to do lunch AND dinner at weekends just so so dull!! Doing packed lunches definitely!! Taking things out to recycling bin apparently when my husband is doing any DIY he can’t be arsed to do the ONLY regular chore he has so if I’d let it the recycling would fill our kitchen bin and kitchen sides Confused

Tinkobell · 12/11/2019 18:21

Removing out of date veg from the fridge.....sloppy salad, decomposed cucumbers etc....they stink and drip everywhere.
However, this summer I found my new domestic "best friend".... a jet washer. I don't use it to clean the patio but instead place onto the lawn mouldy BBQ grills, mouldy fabric conditioner drawer thingy, bin juicy bin, fetid dog bowl and all manner of gross items which get blasted clean! So very very satisfying.....low labour, no scrubbing!

ProfessorPootle · 12/11/2019 18:22

Opening the blinds, have remote control blinds downstairs and they make all other blinds boring. And changing the sheets.

Waveysnail · 12/11/2019 18:22

Hoovering.

Greenwingmemories · 12/11/2019 18:25

I loathe paperwork. We get so much spam every day and it always seems to be my job to sort through what's circulars and what's important. Plus there's the finance marketing from the banks that I feel I have to sort through as they always put your account details on it, so I don't feel I can just chuck it without shredding.

I hate changing beds. I detest clearing the stuff that piles up on the side. Everyone in my house puts their shed clothes, shopping bags, pens, Oyster cards etc on the kitchen island or the side in the hall. It drives me mad.

Aisforharlot · 12/11/2019 18:29

Dusting. It inexplicably stresses me out.

CymaticPrincess88 · 12/11/2019 18:33

School run
Washing up
Taking the bins out
Cleaning the oven
Putting shopping away

Basically hate being a grown up Grin

Eckhart · 12/11/2019 18:33

I don't mind washing up except cutlery. Grrr.
I don't mind hanging up the washing except socks. GRRRRRR.
The second I've finished changing the sheets, I'm dreading doing it next time.

Greeper · 12/11/2019 18:33

Making salad. I love eating it but faffing with all the cold floppy salady bobbins and out of plastic is somehow so much woooorrrrkkkk

Eckhart · 12/11/2019 18:35

@Shalom23 I'll wrap presents for you! I love it!

Lilyflower1 · 12/11/2019 18:43

Putting the duvet in its cover
Washing lettuce (hoorah for bagged greenery!)
Cleaning the fridge

BeyondMyWits · 12/11/2019 18:50

Clearing hair out of the plughole... eww, 5 minutes of gagging.

OldEvilOwl · 12/11/2019 18:51

Injecting my diabetic dog with insulin twice a day. It's been 3 years now, she's only got a little neck (jack Russell) Sad

MyOtherLifeIsAFairytale · 12/11/2019 18:51

Emptying the food bin.
Making packed lunch.
Taking out my contacts.
Brushing my teeth at night.

None of it takes more than 10 secs to 2 minutes. None of it yucky or phobic. Just seems such a hassle!

Petrichor11 · 12/11/2019 18:54

Cleaning the food waste bin
Hoovering
Putting clean clothes away
Using interdental brushes

SchadenfreudePersonified · 12/11/2019 18:54

Emptying the fucking dishwasher.

ohwellherewegoagain · 12/11/2019 18:56

Ironing. No one has mentioned ironing. It is the devil's own work All forms of laundry in fact. Sweeping up the cobwebs(old house, high ceilings, loads of lurking spiders... =

SarfE4sticated · 12/11/2019 18:59

I never iron anything Ohwell problem solved!
