For me it’s anything that should be a quick job but isn’t because of the various stages required to get to the point of doing that job. So for example, mopping the floor is fine, but having to pick all the crap up that everyone has left lying around - baby toys, toddler toys, hair bands, slippers, a notebook, a glove... then sweep or vacuum up the crumbs, hair, and stray Cheerios THEN pick up more toys the baby has got out in the meantime and only then can I actually do the mopping. And even then you have to pause to move various bits of furniture etc.
Cleaning the bathroom, fine. Having to move everyone’s shampoo, shower gel, flannels, dd1’s hairbands, pick up the clothes they’ve left on the floor 😡
Emptying the dishwasher, not too bad a job. But if I’m last down in the morning and various people made snacks or drinks after it went on last night, and then there’s everyone’s breakfast dishes left all over the kitchen and crumbs and tea rings everywhere I find just emptying the dishwasher overwhelming.
Hanging washing up, don’t mind it. But becomes a big task if there’s already a load hanging up that I need to take down and fold and put away in order to be able to hang up the load that needs hanging.
Basically I am easily overwhelmed and everyone else in my family is a lazy wotsit.
