Thoughts

Just for fun

OP posts:
ChocolateTeapot1 · 06/11/2019 07:56

“Line eyes” and “I had sex the day I ovulated, do you think I’m pregnant?” A chorus of replies say just pee on a stick we can’t tell you and they then reply “oh no I don’t want to do that” 😆.

The other thing I hate on here is the knee jerk reaction of everyone no matter how slight someone’s problem is with their husband you get ltb, I’d be divorced 3 times a week if I came on here for marriage advice! The double standards are also massive too, for example it’s fine to go through your husbands phone and read messages etc but my god if the husband did this it’s “controlling” etc etc etc.

PurpleDaisies · 06/11/2019 07:57

Medical advice, especially what to do with a burn (usually attracts idiots telling posters to put the contents of their kitchen/bathroom on it).

Should I go to a and e, even though a doctor/999 operator has told them try should. Yes, obviously trusting randoms is better than a trained professional.

What do you weigh at 5ft something and a size whatever threads. Blatantly populated with posters with eating disorders.

U2HasTheEdge · 06/11/2019 08:01

CF/Zilla

99% of the time they are fake, with loads of cheer leaders asking for updates so the thread just goes on and on.

Line eyes- yes, that line is really faint. If you invert the colours or hold it up to a certain light you can just about see a shadow of a line.
Congratulations you are pregnant.

What should I buy at Aldi?

XXcstatic · 06/11/2019 08:03

Line eyes - not so much the OPs as the selfish twats who get off on telling the OP that there is a line when there isn't.

Paddington68 · 06/11/2019 08:04

AIBU -
School staff won't teach/pamper/ my child..........
Yes you are being unreasonable.
No, I'm not though, because.....
That's even more unreasonable...
Repeat.

Mermaidoutofwater · 06/11/2019 08:04

Threads where stepmothers are dripping with resentment about their stepchildren.

echt · 06/11/2019 08:04

I must be feeling hormonal.

Ginfordinner · 06/11/2019 08:08

Oh yes, echt.
I hate it when hormones are always blamed for women behaving irrationally.

NightLion · 06/11/2019 08:09

The waiting for a marriage proposal threads. Grim.

GingersAreLush · 06/11/2019 08:12

Anything featuring zilla

Parking threads

Is it ok to use the wheelchair space/disabled loos because I happen to have a baby in a pushchair

Anti vaxxers

Who’s your favourite mumsnetter.

People who put ..... in the thread title instead of the entire question they’re asking and you open it and the query is as boring as hell and you have no one to blame but yourself for falling for it again.

Ginfordinner · 06/11/2019 08:13

The "I want another child" threads when the OP already has more than one child and the husband/partner definitely doesn't want any more.

And posters with lots of children who complain about how expensive school uniform is/the cost of school dinners/any other child related costs. Doesn't that go with the territory of having children? Perhaps they should have thought of that before having so many.

Waspnest · 06/11/2019 08:15

unicycling then Grin

I hate any threads that clearly don't belong in AIBU being worded to try and fit into AIBU. Even (especially) if the subject is really sensitive I'm immediately irritated by the OP and can't be arsed responding.

GingersAreLush · 06/11/2019 08:16

What do you weigh at 5ft something and a size whatever threads. Blatantly populated with posters with eating disorders.

Ooh yes I hate these too how could I forget? The same goes for those (probably the same posters) who are shocked at how much others eat because eating an lettuce leaf means they’re stuffed. Grim.

RedSheep73 · 06/11/2019 08:24

The ones with spelling mistakes, obviously. And The Ones Where Everything Is Capitalised. Why do people do that? And anything that looks like it's written by a tory/brexiter.

IveGotBillsTheyreMultiplying · 06/11/2019 08:24

Clothes hating threads designed to make people feel rubbish about wearing perfectly normal clothes.

JenniferM1989 · 06/11/2019 08:27

The threads where the first sentence is 'name changed as don't want to out myself' then they go on to tell a very specific story that is probably quite unique to them recently and anyone else involved in it would know for a fact who was writing it 😂

MardAsSnails · 06/11/2019 08:31

Anything that is a partial question that makes you have to open the thread to find out that’s it is irrelevant bollocks

Can you believe my NDN did... (absolutely nothing unbelievable)

Don’t you hate it when... (bats fart. Nope, don’t really have an opinion on that)

Would I be unreasonable to (go to the supermarket wearing a clown costume? Go to the Bahamas with a hot Spanish man and leave DH with our 9 children? Eat cereal whilst on the toilet? Dunno. Probably yes to all)

Isn’t it funny that... (whatever it is about, no it’s not fucking funny in any way shape or form)

IDontDrinkTea · 06/11/2019 08:31

Threads in AIBU where the poster is quite clearly being very very unreasonable, yet keeps coming back insisting they’re right

I hate ‘can I see a line’ / ‘12 week scan boy or girl’ ones too

TheLittleDogLaughed · 06/11/2019 08:33

Also food ones, especially involving dc’s diets where they eat roasted organic googleberries on extra extra organic extra fibre rye bread with goats milk drawn fresh from the family goat. And the condemning and pearl-clutching at the mention of a humble fish finger.

aliensprig · 06/11/2019 08:35

If the majority of the content on MN is abhorrent to most of you, why the fuck are any of you on here? Grin

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 06/11/2019 09:00

alien I DO hate this place. It's an addictionGrin

Zaphodsotherhead · 06/11/2019 09:02

Anything that's horribly spelled or punctuated. And text speak.

The odd error is fine, people typing on phones, one handed whilst feeding, just not paying attention.

It's the 'is he respunsable for my axiaty atacs?' that get me.

Sorry.

LadyLanka · 06/11/2019 09:05

Anything that contains "drama", "stress" or "dilemma" - this lasts one ESPECIALLY when it is spelled "dilema"!

Morosou · 06/11/2019 09:08

The word hubby.

x2boys · 06/11/2019 09:21

Breast feeding versus Bottle feeding seriously who cares how other people feed their babies ,autism threads on aibu, usually it attracts posters that have zero understanding of autism or think they have an understanding but can't seem to.grasp it's a spectrum and affects people differently , and similarly a previous poster mentioned burns and idiots advising to put the con tents of their cupboards on them ,this apply to any " medical " advice there was a thread the other week about constipation and the amount of downright dangerous advice and ludicrous advice was astounding .
