What time does your alarm go off, and do you ping out of bed straightaway?

I have a new medication to take at least an hour before coffee or tea, so was feeling annoyed I'll have to set my alarm for about half an hour before I plan on getting up - but then realised I never get up with the first alarm anyway Grin so I just need to tweak my way a bit.

I have a few set over the course of 20 mins or half an hour to ease myself into the morning. Am shit at getting up really.

How do you do the morning wake up? Do you need time to acclimatise or do you leap out of bed?

When I get up depends on where I'm working that day and how far I have to travel. Before I had children I used to always wake up about 10 minutes before the alarm, regardless of the time, and could be out of the house within half an hour.

Now, I stay in bed as long as possible and it takes me ages to get going on a morning. I don't "ping" anywhere; I've lost the ability to do that!

6.15. I don't exactly ping out of bed, but I do get up the first time it goes off, yes. I have never understood the point of the snooze button. I love a lie in as much as anybody, but it's no fun lying there waiting for an alarm to go off!

6am during week days and I have to jump straight out of bed as I do a yoga class before work and even 5 minutes can make a difference between getting there on time and missing it. I am not a morning person and used to be a snoozer but I love my yoga class and my body seems to prefer that to sleep.

Alarm goes off at 5:45, I snooze until about 6:15 then knock a coffee down my neck and go to the gym, I dread it every morning!

When I was younger I really hated mornings, I remember struggling to get up and moving for 0915 lectures at university! Which makes me laugh now. Now I’m in my thirties I’ve become a real morning person. Probably helps that I go to bed super early (usually asleep for 2130), so by the time 6-7am rolls around I’m wide awake naturally and raring to go. Don’t think I’ve woken to an alarm for ages, I’m already awake. Usually wake around 6am naturally and get straight out of bed, go downstairs, make some breakfast, have a cuppa, then slowly get ready for the day.

Mine goes off at 4.45am and I have to get straight up otherwise I'd never get out of bed. By 4.50am I'm out with the dog. Great thing is no one else is stupid enough to get up and out at that time so I can go straight out with my hair looking like Michael Myers from Halloween - the dog doesn't care Grin

630am and straight away up as that means husband is away and I’ll have to do the dogs, get two children ready for a 720am school run.

650am (alarm 1) and I’ll get up at 7am if husband is home as he does children and the dogs if he’s around. His alarm is usually 630am and he’s up straight away as kids will be up by 650/655am

midnightmisssuki · 06/11/2019 10:34

^^ sometimes my husband is up and out of bed by 550am for his yoga class at 6am 😳🤦🏻‍♀️

6:45 and I get straight up.
I've never seen the point of snoozing the alarm, only to be jolted awake again a few minutes later.
6:45 is the time I need to get up, to give myself the time to do the things I need to do in the morning, at the pace I need to do them. So that's the time I get up.
