Trump has very selective kiss ass habits indeed. Reserved for a certain leader who doesn't admit double crossings. We wouldn't want a defenestrated President.

Roussette · 04/12/2019 07:57

He doesnt kiss ass like Obama amd.many presidents before him
So, in other words, he's a rude nasty divisive president? Agree! His Kim Jong Un ass kissing hasn't gone terribly well, has it.... even after they exchanged 'big beautiful love letters'....
p.s. he won't be on the 2020 ticket so no decision to make there...

I don't know a lot about the Democratic candidates but whenever I could watch a clip of Kamala Harris, I did. She is brilliant, especially in Hearings. What a disappointment she has to pull out because of funds.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 04/12/2019 09:09

Can you vote for someone whose name isn't on your ballot? In this country you could, by writing their name in for yourself and putting a cross in a square box after it, but I don't think it would be counted: I think the returning officer would call it a spoiled ballot and discard it instead of verifying it.

World leaders bitching about someone.

I've always rather liked Princess Anne.

(I can't seem to find a clip to post but she appears to be trending for he non-response to Trump).

Lweji · 04/12/2019 11:53

I have one over Trump on that one. She shook my hand. Wink

However, Princess Anne is behind Trump as they enter the room. Presumably she had already shook hands with him. Bleurgh.

Former GOP ethics Chair says Nunes should be investigated. From his mouth to God's ear!

Trump has left the buildingGrin Not so good for NATO, though, unfortunately.

Impeachment hearing just starting on CNN.

lionheart · 04/12/2019 15:22

Republicans shouting already (Collins). 'Ya just don't like the guy!'

stripeypillowcase · 04/12/2019 15:38

omg the chair is already pissed off with the lot of them

AcrossthePond55 · 04/12/2019 16:28

I am finding this SO informative!!! The expert witnesses are really putting things in 'layman's terms'.

The GOP, not so much. But that's what the mute button is for.

Oh, Turley's up. He's the GOP witness. Finger hovering on mute button. 😆

Oh my goodness, so am I... finding it so interesting. I can understand what Prof. Karlan is saying and explaining, and usually this sort of stuff is beyond me.

Love that she quoted about our laws with this from the Restoration and the return of the monarchy.

Roussette · 04/12/2019 16:57

Michael Gerhardt...
"If this is not impeachable, NOTHING is impeachable"

Jaichangecentfoisdenom · 04/12/2019 17:28

I've a horrible feeling that in the current political climate, NOTHING is impeachable Sad

Roussette · 04/12/2019 17:53

Oh dear... the pro trump professor is just banging on and on about Obama.

Ridiculous

Lweji · 04/12/2019 17:54

At this rate, the whole GOP may end up being impeached.

RhinoskinhaveI · 04/12/2019 17:56

I'm a bit alarmed that he's gone off in a huff because they others were laughing at him, what fury hath Trump when scorned, what will his revenge be?

Jaichangecentfoisdenom · 04/12/2019 18:12

Point well taken, RhinoskinhaveI - but has he not already wrought his worst?

Roussette · 04/12/2019 18:15

I'm a bit alarmed that he's gone off in a huff because they others were laughing at him, what fury hath Trump when scorned, what will his revenge be?

A nasty tweet probably...

lionheart · 04/12/2019 19:04

Prof. Noah Feldman: "I don't think it's possible to emphasize this strongly enough: A president who will not cooperate with an impeachment inquiry is putting himself above the law. Now, putting yourself above the law as president is the core of an impeachable offense."
