West highland terriers for me Smile Mother has one and she's a delightful little bundle of energy!

Labradors because they're soft, loyal and clever yet dopey. And labradoodles for the same reasons plus they don't moult!

Aubeterre · 21/10/2019 13:40

Italian spinone! A big loyal, slobbery bundle of love.

GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman · 21/10/2019 13:58

German shorthaired pointers, Vizslas, Weimaraners. Also partial to working Cockers and Springers. And scrappy arsey farm terriers.

I love huntaways, but would not be able to provide the right home. Ditto Bavarian Mountain Hounds: the black mask gets me every time. I love dogs with working drive and brains, but soppy personalities.

German Shepherd and Border Collies

@MothershipG are you talking about names with C and P, definitely not a C. I think I've only ever come across one other person with an affenpinscher in real life but I belong to a few Facebook groups where I can get my fix of them from all over the World!

Tinkerbell456 · 21/10/2019 14:52

Wow. We love us our dogs it’s true. Why? I love my Weimeraner. She is excellent.Just a good friend.

elloelloello · 21/10/2019 14:57

Springer Spaniels

Absolutely love them. Most people seem to think they’re crazy hard work, but I love that zest for life and leap before you look attitude they have

We’re on our 2nd now - lost our first boy last year and have a girl now.

I don’t think I’d ever have a different breed now

MothershipG · 21/10/2019 14:59

@WeAreStardustWeAreGolden
Not who I was guessing then, I thought you might have been Cassie & Pippa's owner who makes the Affie adventures films.

Don't think we have ever bumped into another Affie, but been to a few dog shows. Mine are Orlock Affens and I'm in the FB groups too 😄

English Bull Terrier

Nousernameforme · 21/10/2019 15:05

Clumber spaniels Irish wolfhound or Scottish deerhound.
If I ever get crazy rich I am going to buy a castle in the highlands and fill it with dogs

wheresmymojo · 21/10/2019 15:05

German shepherds

Corneliawildthing · 21/10/2019 15:14

English bull terrier. I'd never own one as I wouldn't be able to control it but I just find them very appealing

Pardonwhat · 21/10/2019 15:18

I’ve only noticed one person on here say French Bulldog which has surprised me as they’re supposed to be the UKs most popular dog! How odd

Zuma76 · 21/10/2019 15:26

Schnauzers- I have a giant and a standard and they are amazing, funny, happy dogs

DNR · 21/10/2019 16:57

Dalmatian. They might shed a lot but they don't smell or dribble and they're great with kids.

raspberryk · 21/10/2019 17:05

I love gundogs, we have a working "sprocker" with a beautiful temperament, I've had amazing Springers and Labs in the past but I'm also partial to staffies too.
Only dogs I don't like are little yappy ones.

Thatsenoughjuststopit · 21/10/2019 17:10

Border Terrier, they're like little old men.

SecretMillionaire · 21/10/2019 17:17

German Shepherds are incredibly loyal and loving pets.

WeAreStardustWeAreGolden · 21/10/2019 17:35

@MothershipG wow, small world my doggie was an Orlock Affen!

Annabk · 21/10/2019 17:36

Greyhound, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Golden Retriever.

StormBaby · 21/10/2019 17:39

Any of the sighthounds; Afghan, Whippet, Greyhound, Saluki... I love them all. I own three.
