West highland terriers for me Smile Mother has one and she's a delightful little bundle of energy!

Greyhound or whippet, the ones I've met always seem so lazy laid back and calm. A bouncy dog would drive me mad.

Fluffybutter · 04/11/2020 11:56

Shiba inu’s. I will have one ,one day 🤞🏼

Spidey66 · 04/11/2020 12:28

Border collies, specifically my lovely, beautiful, cuddly Maggie, the best dog in the world (fact, not opinion.)

But I have a spot soft for Staffies as well.

cavapoo/cavapoochon. Love a designer dog! On a waiting list for one, the breeder I'm dealing with has a 2 year waiting list!

Imnotsomesortofchump · 05/11/2020 10:58

She is far bigger than that now and she's chewer but very laid back and sleeps most of the time

OldCow1 · 06/11/2020 00:33

Dalmatian was incredibly protective of my kids. If my husband told them off, he'd position himself between and defend them. Adult kids have turned out ok despite lack of discipline! He never bit anyone but it was quite funny seeing how protective he was. Just side taking. He never did anything very threatening (no need)

OldCow1 · 06/11/2020 00:37

And Dalmatians dont smell

OldCow1 · 06/11/2020 00:38

They shed like mad though

eachtigertires · 06/11/2020 00:56

Brittany and Greyhound are my favorites.

But I have a mixed breed - 1/2 JRT, 1/4 Chi, 1/4 Dachs. He looks and behaves much like a stereotypical JRT though. He is loud and a very persistent whiner but loves hiking, swimming etc in all weathers which is great as we have an active lifestyle. He loves kids and cats (against stereotype) but hates other dogs and busses.

PhilSwagielka · 06/11/2020 00:58

Bernese mountain dogs. Big smiley bundles of fluff. I also have a soft spot for Rottweilers, GSDs and bulldogs.

Justsocross · 06/11/2020 01:44

Irish setters wonderful family dogs followed by Gordon setters very loyal dogs . We are lucky enough to have both and have had for years

smileyfacestar · 07/11/2020 21:30

Border Terrier. Not afraid of anything!

hopelessbusiness · 07/11/2020 22:45

Bassets for me every time. My boy was funny, infuriating, smelly, stubborn and loving beyond words. He was so empathic and always knew when I needed a cuddle. He made me smile every day, and I miss him so much.

Oooohbehave · 07/11/2020 23:20

I love labradors but they're stinky.

VestaTilley · 07/11/2020 23:38

English show cocker spaniel - we had a blue roan; he was wonderful and I still miss him. Don’t get all black or all tan ones though- apparently they’re prone to cocker rage! Shock

motorcyclenumptiness · 07/11/2020 23:50

Bearded Collie - never a dull moment

Pugdogmom · 08/11/2020 00:31

Pugs of course.
Also have rescue lurchers, and love German Shepherds

Jenasaurus · 29/11/2020 16:09

These 2 are my fave breed. Wilbur and Luna, my sons whippets. I was scared of dogs before he got them and they are adorable. This is them in their new winter coats. Wilbur is 1 today and Luna about 5 months

@allfurcoatnoknickers

Cairn Terriers!! Mine died last year and I miss her terribly. Such bright and busy little dogs. And JRTs, I have two, and I love them even though they're awkward little bitey fuckers. So much fun though Grin.

@StillMedusa I LOVE Eurasiers. Wish I could have one, but we're the totally wrong home for the breed Sad.

Ahhh we lost our Cairn last year too , she was 16 and was a real character.

We now have a Golden Retriever who is adorable but am hoping to get another Cairn next year.

mbosnz · 29/11/2020 16:50

My absolute favourite is Dobermann, then german shepherd, then Belgian Malinois, English Bull Terrier, British Bulldog, Neapolitan Mastiff, English Mastiff, Bull Mastiff, Dogue de Bordeaux, boxer, bassett, and scottie.

mbosnz · 29/11/2020 16:50

I forgot to put Bernese and New Foundland in there!

VodkaSodaLime · 29/11/2020 17:09

My beautiful gorgeous rescue bulldog. She was bred repeatedly, but is now queen of the manor and her human slaves tend to her every need! But the most loving cuddly dog you could ever meet ❤️
