Rescue dogs! I love my staffy, frenchie and rottie

lilabet2 · 21/10/2019 19:59

Golden Retrievers- they are amazingly empathic, affectionate and sweet.

I also like Goldadors (although they're more of a mixed breed), Labradors, Spaniels and German Shepherds.

@missbattenburg he's saying "yeah whatever, I know I'm gorgeous" haha beautiful dog

Wavyheaded · 21/10/2019 20:06

Bernese Mountain Dog! They are just the cutest and funniest. I love big dogs in general.

Italian greyhound - so pretty
Red setter - so gorgeous
Husky! So mystical
Labrador retriever - So friendly and cute eyes, especially the brown or black varieties

You can probably tell I've never owned a dog Grin But I will continue to dream...

GrouchyKiwi · 21/10/2019 20:08

@Figmentofmyimagination My parents had a Labrador Retriever that was the best mouser/ratfinder in existence. They live rurally and thus had a large mouse population. Their lovely dog would rescue my Mum from any mice that made it into the house, and liked to go rat hunting in the fields.

She also used to take bites out of cabbages in the garden, and eat the tops of the carrots as they were growing, so she wasn't all good. Wink

fanniboz · 21/10/2019 20:13

Labrador. I have a 15 month old yellow and she is so intelligent yet daft, very funny and loving. Has a very fun personality. Except when she's stealing socks and digging in the garden Smile

Doobydoo · 21/10/2019 20:14

Beagles

Really miss my old boy who passed away in Feb

Such a gentle sweetheart and so funny and full of personality

Hard to train though!

Imonaplane · 21/10/2019 20:54

German Shorthaired Pointer here too. I have owned them for over 20 years and currently have 3. They are loving, loyal, great family dogs if you can cope with their high energy levels and intelligence. Not for everyone but once under your skin you will never have another breed.

Pollywollydolly · 21/10/2019 21:43

Newfoundlands. They moult, they drool, they have the recall of a stuffed toy. But they are the gentlest, funniest, best dogs ever!

Cupola · 21/10/2019 21:58

Boxers. Like having a toddler but with excellent communication skills

iamadramallama · 21/10/2019 22:04

You can't beat a Pointer-super cuddly in the house and full of energy outside 🥰
