To feel really sorry for Prince Harry breaking down

AviationLifystyle · 16/10/2019 09:56

At the awards show. I have been a little skeptical about him recently but my heart really went out to him when I saw the footage.

I have a feeling that having a child has triggered a huge amount of unresolved grief and anxiety. Now he has this dear little boy who is at the mercy of the tabloid press, as is his wife and there is little he can do to protect him.

It's time the press laid off. This is a human being breaking in front of us.

You always ask for reasons, then when someone took the time to give you some they’re “bizarre” and “untrue”.

Tbf if you're [general you] going to claim that she announced her pregnancy at Eugenie's wedding then you're gonna need to back it up with a reputable source.

He's only human. He's in public, speaking about something very close to his heart. And after the trauma of losing his mother so young, he is of course bound to feel the deep soul searching emotions that come with first time parenting.

BertrandRussell · 17/10/2019 19:08

Is anyone prepared to hazard a guess about the number of “inspirational quotes” on their Instagram. Apparently it’s packed with them, so go for a high number......

morningcoffee22 · 17/10/2019 19:10

LOL!! “You asked me for examples and when I made up lies you called me on it waaaahh waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.”

It was someone else that gave those examples, but how do you know they’re lies?

Well, it was you said she announced her pregnancy at Eugenie’s wedding- when loads of people who were there said she didn’t....

Grinchly · 17/10/2019 19:33

The laughing/crying thing was a bit odd, plus presenter comforting him, and it does make me wonder if there are Mh issues- birth of child etc bringing everything back to the fore.

Maybe the kid has issues we don't know about also. On one of the African pix he seemed to have a massive dent in his head... I dunno.

I also think they have gone way too far towards the 'woke', and maybe isolated themselves from rest of RF and advisers, but who knows really.

I do agree with previous comments about the unfortunate focus on self when in a room full of people who have experienced immense trauma. Of course, so has he,and so publicly it need hardly be said.

Their Instagram is a re run of her Tig lifestyle blog. The inspirational iced cupcakes was a particularly low point.

BertrandRussell · 17/10/2019 19:35

“ Their Instagram is a re run of her Tig lifestyle blog.”

Really? Isn’t it just pictures of what they’ve been doing? Like W&K’s?

morningcoffee22 · 17/10/2019 19:35

Well, it was you said she announced her pregnancy at Eugenie’s wedding- when loads of people who were there said she didn’t....

and loads said she did, why are you so keen to disbelieve.......and are you going to challenge all the things the other poster said as examples.

Cerseirys · 17/10/2019 19:37

It was the Mail's royal reporter who started the rumour that they announced the pregnancy at Eugenie's wedding. So a very reliable source...

morningcoffee22 · 17/10/2019 19:40

Stating “I dislike Meghan because she did X and Y and she said such and such” is very different from “I dislike her because I read an anonymous rumour online that she privately told someone such-and-such even though the person she’s rumoured to have said it to hasn’t said a word but I guess maybe a third party overheard and gossiped and...”

It is all exactly the same, we all get our information from the media. What else do we have to go on........about anyone in the public eye for that matter.

BertrandRussell · 17/10/2019 19:41

“ and are you going to challenge all the things the other poster said as examples.”

Well, I did reply.

Why do you automatically believe the wedding story?

BertrandRussell · 17/10/2019 19:43

“ It is all exactly the same, we all get our information from the media. What else do we have to go on........about anyone in the public eye for that matter.”

Well, we have what they actually say and do.....

morningcoffee22 · 17/10/2019 19:47

Be honest and say “I dislike her because I seek out online/tabloid gossip and believe rumours.”

No that would be dishonest.. But by the same token, why do you like her, and Harry for that matter, after all, the good stuff could be rumours too.

mrscampbellblackagain · 17/10/2019 19:58

Same old, same old on this thread.

I just saw commentary on the H&M documentary of their tour of S Africa on twitter. It really doesn't sound Harry is in a good place regarding the death of his mother and the constant reminders of it. In any other sphere of life people would be advising him to step away from all the 'triggers' ie the media.

For once it would be nice for those who like Meghan or Kate to just defend them without bitching about the other with made up gossip. It is just so tiresome and weakens the points (often valid) they are trying to make.

They are royals - they all spend shed loads. They are irrelevant really and none of them deserve anyone to bow or curtsey to them. Kate and Meghan gave up jobs (of whatever description) to marry a rich man and join the family firm. They both seem to do a good job at their new roles, both have different strengths. Both are incredibly beautiful (what a surprise - rich men marry beautiful women)

Honestly, I think these threads get bogged down in defending Maghan or Kate because let's face it that's what they are all about when in actuality I think most people are just a leetle bit fed up of the Royal Family. Down with them all!

But let them go to the odd thing wearing a tiara because I like the frocks Wink

mrscampbellblackagain · 17/10/2019 20:04

I actually here the rocky them tune on these threads, in the left corner we have Bertrand, Laurie and Joyful and in the right we have notheresa, etc

BertrandRussell · 17/10/2019 20:09

“ But by the same token, why do you like her, and Harry for that matter, after all, the good stuff could be rumours too.”
I don’t like her. I don’t know her, so how could I? I want the lot of them abolished. I just hate seeing someone who seems to be doing a decent job being reviled because of completely made up and/or distorted stories. I base my judgement on of her on what I see she does. I like that she earned her living for 15 years in a notoriously tricky profession. I like the statements about women and girls she has made. I liked the way she spoke at that first press conference about the federation thing. I like her choices of charity. I like the way she interacts with people ( much of it probably acting- but so is everybody’s and she’s at least good at it!). I know that she spends a lot of money- but she does not spend more money than equivalent Royals. And I like most of her clothes.

Those are my solid reasons for defending her. Anyone come up with a similar list for attacking her?

SeigneurLapindeGrantham · 17/10/2019 20:09

How does Harry badly treat his polo ponies?

SeigneurLapindeGrantham · 17/10/2019 20:10

Or horses even

mrscampbellblackagain · 17/10/2019 20:13

I meant hear not here Blush

BertrandRussell · 17/10/2019 20:14

All polo ponies are treated badly- the job is exhausting and dangerous.. They are always being injured and heart attacks are not uncommon. They are ridden very hard and have short working lives.

BertrandRussell · 17/10/2019 20:15

I think Harry was accused of overriding one and causing it to have a heart attack-but I can’t remember the details.
