Do you know anyone who has won the monthly surveys on supermarket receipts?

The unreasonable bit is my dh has asked me to ask on his behalf.

I don't and neither does he. In fact I have never filled one in.

I don't even know what you're talking about.

PlaceYourItemInTheBaggingArea · 12/10/2019 20:57

@oysterbabe that made me laugh 😂

When you get your receipt from Aldi or Asda, they say use the website address to fill in a survey and be in with a chance to win x amount, prizes every month.

On your supermarket till receipt there's usually a link to a website, you fill in a survey and get entered into a prize draw that runs every month. Its often a decent amount of money so I do it every time but don't know anyone that's won.

Ravenrob · 12/10/2019 20:59

I usually do them but never heard of anyone winning.

PlaceYourItemInTheBaggingArea · 12/10/2019 21:02

@Ravenrob, he's just said you're the proof in the pudding, neither has he. 😂

I’ve filled them in but never heard of anyone winning either.

OhioOhioOhio · 12/10/2019 21:03

No.

lyingwanker · 12/10/2019 21:18

Nope, never heard of anyone winning either!

24hourshomeedderandcarer · 12/10/2019 21:43

yes,me three times

im a serial comper,as in my hobby is entering hundred of online competitions

we shop daily as both kids eat constantly so i get daily receipts from either tescos, asdas or aldis

last year i won £100 via aldis by doing this

since winning ive developed a system that i go in a few times instead of all on the same ticket as that way you get multiple receipts(so different receipt numbers to enter with)so i can enter more than the once per day,6-7 months later i won another £100

ive also won a £50 cheese hamper as i filled in the receipt and put down the name of employee who went out of his way to help me

my child had a drop tot he floor meltdown in a giant 24 hour tescos as due to his disabilities he couldnt cope as soon as we entered and this guy was very understanding and tried to help me calm him down

the funny thing was it wasnt my local it was a tesco in england a few hours away that we just popped in on our journey to a holiday park,i was that grateful that i took his name

i filled in the survey and when it asks at the end any other infomation i explained what happen and gave the name and store and months later had a letter and parcel through the post saying me and employ was selected and i received a hamper and the employee received a 50 pound bonus.i would have preferred the money but was grateful anyway

so it does happen but really random picking as since then ive done hundreds of receipts and nothing since

i even have a neighbor who works in lidls(where i dont shop)bring home the crumpled receipts that people either dont take at his till or throw away in the little rubbish basket under the pack away bit,we have a half each arrangement if i ever won anything from lidls

iNeverFinishAnyth · 12/10/2019 21:46

I don't usually (ie about two or three times ever) but won £100 from Tesco opticians!

PlaceYourItemInTheBaggingArea · 12/10/2019 21:46

@24hourshomeedderandcarer not all pie in the sky then. You're the only person I've ever heard of, sounds like hard work! 😁

OP posts:
Oysterbabe · 12/10/2019 21:50

Maybe I'll try it now I know these exist. I just throw receipts away without looking at them if I take them at all.

Inebriati · 12/10/2019 22:06

I'm curious now 24hourshomeedderandcarer has posted, when they say the prize is £1,000 do they actually split it into 10 prizes?

MrsElf · 12/10/2019 23:07

My mum won £250 from her local supermarket, and now we both do them religiously. I always do the Krispy Kreme survey for the free ring doughnut - it’s my favourite!
And, I don’t work for them, but the Shoppix app where you snap your receipt and rate the shop /10 for 30 points when 3200 points gets you a £5 Amazon/iTunes/lovetoshop voucher has earnt me £20 this year so far. That’s guaranteed and it adds up quickly (DH daily newspaper habit mostlyHmm)

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 12/10/2019 23:19

I havent

But i worked in a high street dress shop and one of our customers did

LetMeTryAgain · 13/10/2019 00:08

I won £100 from Aldi doing one of these surveys. The staff in our local store were really pleased that one of 'their' shoppers had won!

littleduckeggblue · 13/10/2019 00:14

My mum won £500 goldsmith voucher for doing the survey

winkygirl · 13/10/2019 00:25

I won £250 from a Boots receipt survey. It was put on my advantage card. I enjoyed spending it!

rededucator · 13/10/2019 00:31

I haven't but don't often fill out the online survey. I did once however win BankofScotland On Us when they randomly pick one persons random transaction to pay for. It was an Aldi shop of £80 odd. I think I told every person I bumped into for about a month Grin

dontlikebeards · 13/10/2019 06:12

I won £50 from a toy shop by doing the receipt survey, I think it was The Entertainer

Howlovely · 13/10/2019 06:17

Someone in my family won an iPad after filling out a survey. Same person also won a car!

PurpleKittyKnitting · 13/10/2019 06:22

I won £1000 gift card from Tesco by doing the survey.

I got a phone call at work to say I'd won. Totally amazed. We got some big things with it. Also did a big Christmas food shop and then gave ourselves £100 each to spend

PlaceYourItemInTheBaggingArea · 14/10/2019 22:07

Wow, good to see people do win then, some good prizes too!

This thread has disproved by theory that the surveys are just a way of collecting data and that nobody wins
