Something happened.

It was very bad and someone else's fault, possibly their child, possibly their MIL.

It may or may not have involved a flooded basement.

I've considered storming into school and confronting the head, changing the locks and baking again from scratch, gluten free. AIBU?

Dont want to give too many details as it could give you the faintest idea of what I'm on about be outing. Asking for a friend.

LonginesPrime I take your point about the gerbils but "According to Johnny Morris you get about 40 harvest mice to the lb" (friend's Nan )

You just need a spa day op

Neome · 10/10/2019 10:30

Spa day it is. I'll be thinking of all you huns while not sharing enjoying my gin soaked tarts.

They will go well with Pom bears

Pardonwhat · 10/10/2019 10:37

I’m relieved that someone has already suggested reporting it to 101 - just incase.

Ffs just say "cycling".

It IS cycling, isn't it?

FancyAPint · 10/10/2019 10:57

Is there a back story to this? Can you cover this with some of your 20k emergency savings?

noroominthefridge · 10/10/2019 10:58

Just buy a bloody canoe and grow the fuck up. Sheesh.

Zaphodsotherhead · 10/10/2019 11:02

Go LC. In fact, no, go NC with the lot of them.

Then maybe you could look into counselling.

Oh, and get a man in to do something about your puddles. If you have trouble paying him, maybe you could iron local dogs to raise some money.

CrazyPineapple · 10/10/2019 11:06

This is very outing. I fear you've given away too many details. But yes, I definitely see a line Confused Grin

SoupDragon · 10/10/2019 11:19

TheVanguardSix · 10/10/2019 11:35

OP, you need to take this one over to Stately Homes.

cwg1 · 10/10/2019 11:40

Get out in the garden and plant some spring bulbs.

LonginesPrime · 10/10/2019 13:00

OP, you need to ask MNHQ to move this at least three boards over as it's really inappropriate for this to be in AIBU.

Then once it's moved, obviously the people on that board will be able to tell you which board it needs to move to next..

Dodoluded · 10/10/2019 13:03

All you need to do is say the magic words safeguarding issue

Worrieddoc · 10/10/2019 13:04

Cancel the check.

MovinOnUp · 10/10/2019 13:07

Have you considered a mooncup?

Huntlybyelection · 10/10/2019 13:09

I'm not being funny but I think you ABVU.

I'm heavily pregnant and therefore exempt from anything other than saying you need to stop dripfeeding.

Gruzinkerbell1 · 10/10/2019 13:11

I actually think you need to get this thread deleted. It’s way too outing.

Won’t someone please think of the Daily Mail?!

GrumpiestCat · 10/10/2019 13:13

Definitely a DH problem not a MIL problem.

DobbyLovesSocks · 10/10/2019 13:18

Just remember no is a complete sentence. Otherwise, just tilt your head and ask 'did you mean to be so rude?'

SachaStark · 10/10/2019 13:21

Which of you is the cyclist in this scenario?

If it’s your DH, tell him he needs to get the FUCK home before bath and bedtime.

BravoStrong · 10/10/2019 13:22

I’m not sure I really understand.

Wouldn’t anyone in this situation just move house immediately and get family members to take care of the kids? I mean, £20k is hardly difficult to rustle up in an emergency!

Isleepinahedgefund · 10/10/2019 13:22

But what's the hobby? Are you in a mariachi band?
