All those wine/prosecco gifts that plague supermarkets and are aimed at women and glamorising over drinking are just tacky and I wish they'd go.

Agree that SAHM is much easier in most ways than going to work - you can usually nap or at least rest for a bit and you are generally doing fun activities with a person you loveBUT

What nonsense! Most people are SAHM because they would rather cut off their right arm than leave their baby, and have made financial sacrifices to facilitate it.

Working parents do all the parent crap like school plays, dinner, homework help, housework that you all do PLUS the demands of a job.

Well I'm a SAHM and I do all school related things, all housework, all homework, all washing, all gardening and all cooking.

My husband goes to work. And then comes home from work. And then eats, washes and sleeps. So....

Anyway I digress.

Breaking Bad is the worst programme to ever be on TV ever.

The Sopranos is overrated.

Cillian Murphy is not good looking.

I think people shouldn't eat baby animals.

Nandos is shite. Like really really shite.

Prosecco is like cats piss. As is champagne regardless of the price.

Pretty much all music released since 2012 has been awful.

I agree, @jcurve - and I think any parent who lets (or encourages) their child take puberty blockers (that may not be reversible, and may cause osteoporosis and can harm the developing adolescent brain and impact academic achievement), and who enables them to have surgery that can never be anything other than cosmetic, a pale, non-functional imitation of male or female genitalia, is guilty of child abuse.

not all, plus depends if you have pre-schoolers.....now thats way harder than any full time job

It would be really nice if women would stop sneering at, looking down on, and judging other women for making different life choices and having differing circumstances, values and priorities than them - be they SAHM or WOHP. Just for bloody once.

And being a sahm to toddlers and a baby is the worst.Much harder that any job.

All this shite sleep when they sleep,obviously never had mad toddlers,who gave up their nap.

And then the school run.Having 2 drop offs and 3 pickups within an hour of each other is crap.I literally crawled that road for 7 years.

I think both being a SAHM and a WOHP are both tough gigs depending on many factors and we should all just give each other a break. Parenting can be hard full stop

@Mammylamb is right - there are tough bits and good bits to being a WOHP and a SAHP - and what is right for some families will be wrong for others, so let’s just have a bit of understanding going both ways.

My sister had 4 and then their dad was involved in an accident and was killed...if only she'd known that was going to happen maybe she would have thought twice about having any.

Taking the door off a teenagers bedroom to punish them is weird, abusive and much worse than giving a quick smack to a toddler.
