transgender females should not compete in sport against natal females.

I want more scaled down blockbuster movies. Action adventure films would be more tense and dramatic if they lowered the stakes. The whole universe could perish if bad guy gets the Orb of Thesilis! Yawn! But one guy trying to defeat one bad guy in a locked down tower block = actual tension.

Doing a food shop can be quite relaxing and the self service checkouts are much less pressured than the manned tills.

James Corden is warm, funny and seems like a nice guy. I don't get the hate towards him.

Sugarplumfairyfartface · 09/10/2019 00:00

People that don't like dogs are evil and cannot be trusted EVER
Its actually perfectly fine for dogs to sit up at the table on a chair whilst u eat if you want them too
Its also perfectly fine for dogs to eat their dinner at the table with you if you so wish
Parents of severely obese children are child abusers and if kids don't lose weight and nothing wrong with them and parents don't try and get them healthier they should be taken into care
Some teens/kids are just naughty/horrible they do not necessarily have any kind of behavior/mental/personality disorder or deeprooted issues they are just shits pure n simple
Brexit is a load of bollocks

Sugarplumfairyfartface · 09/10/2019 00:09

Kids should be taught in school its the teachers job to teach them to read write spell and do sums and not parents fault if they cant
Homework in school holidays should be banned holidays are for holidays

ReadyPayerTwo · 09/10/2019 00:15

The priest in Fleabag is NOT hot. As Phoebe Waller Bridge said in her brilliant SNL monologue, he's just a good listener.

icebearforpresident · 09/10/2019 00:24

Home Alone isn’t a Christmas movie.

I know my house is messy (not dirty, there’s a difference) and I don’t care. In fact I think people who live in immaculate homes are weird and need to get out more.

Monsterdogs · 09/10/2019 01:38

Dogs do not have enough legal protection. I hate that they are viewed as property, not the sentient individuals they are.
TV is boring.
I don't ever want myself, friends or family to win millions on the lottery.

Agree @Chillisauceboss
Having kids before getting married is fine for most
I love the Christmas threads no matter what time of year
As much as I love the Christmas bargains thread and everyone in it (everyone is extremely helpful) I've developed a twitch at the word 'bargainous'

Adam Johnson is not a peadophile, and the scentencing was ridiculously extreme.

Your either stupid or not a nice person if you vote Tory.

Paying the CSA required child support is not the bare minimum; and all some people can afford.

Bluesheep8 · 09/10/2019 07:33

Too many people just don't know how to speak. I see it all the time on here:

"My top needs replaced"
"A meal comprising of"

I can't even bear to read any further, let alone take the time to comment.

Potnoodledoo · 09/10/2019 07:56

Lewis Capaildi is even more boring and vanilla that Ed Sheeran.Who thought that was possible

crispysausagerolls · 09/10/2019 08:01

Your either stupid or not a nice person if you vote Tory

Oh the irony!!! 😬😬

Sootyandsweep2019 · 09/10/2019 08:28

What irony ? Are you suggesting I'm stupid as I don't support a no-deal brexit, erosion of workers rights, charging workers £1500.00 to attend a tribunal until that was declared unlawful, the war on the disabled , taking away NHS grants for students , the five-week wait for UC placing people in poverty, an explosion in street homelessness, windrush, Chris choose blocking upskirting legislation, their MP's refusing to vote for laws that make homes for for habitation. Yes, I'm just utterly thick Hmm

Chillisauceboss · 09/10/2019 09:02

@Sootyandsweep2019 I think it was a dig at 'your' or 'you're'

Dandelion1993 · 09/10/2019 09:22

Homework is a good thing. It helps the parents get involved with education and know what's going on at school.

Being a working mum is okay and you shouldn't be made to feel shit about it.

Dogs are animals not children. Stop treating them that way.

Christmas begins in December not August.

Greg James is better than Grimmy.

ITV is awful

Android is better than iPhone.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 09/10/2019 10:29

The perceived Mumsnet wisdom of ‘There's no point in asking why OP has had three children with such an awful man - she needs advice on what to do now!’ is bollocks. If the OP doesn’t try and address why she’s got herself into a bad situation, what’s to say she won’t be back in 18 months, pregnant with number four saying ‘He said it would be different this time Sad’?

EntropyRising · 09/10/2019 13:15

I think you've set the bar a bit high, but 'needs replaced' I have come to suspect is proper British English based on how many people, some seemingly good writers, use it?

I absolutely hate it,

Nippybutsweet · 09/10/2019 13:29

Couldn't have said it any better @ flirtygirl Grin

LushyMcLushFace · 09/10/2019 13:58

Love Actually is a crap movie

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 09/10/2019 14:05

Its fine to shout at and smack your kids within reason when necessary

i find all this political unrest/upheaval exciting/fascinating

crispysausagerolls · 09/10/2019 14:54

Sootyandsweep2019 I think it was a dig at 'your' or 'you're’

That it was - sorry. Childish, but irresistible!

itsgoodtobehome · 09/10/2019 15:06

Being a SAHM is so much harder than having a job and should be recognised as such - bollocks. You just wanted an excuse to give up work

Michael Kors is the height of chaviness

Having several children and then deciding the father is abusive and lazy is just stupid. Surely you could have figured that out after the first one?

The NHS is not under funded. It’s just severely badly managed and just a political pawn. It would be very easy to put it right, but that would remove a serious political bargaining chip.

People shouldn’t have children if they can’t afford them

Grumpyperson · 09/10/2019 15:09

Homework in school holidays should be banned holidays are for holidays Agreed.

Dogs are animals not children. Stop treating them that way Also agreed!

People shouldn’t have children if they can’t afford them This is a silly thing to say though. How do you know that you'll keep a job for 18 years, or never have an accident or illness?
