I support trump

REALLY? Even after his latest tweet re: Turkey and the Kurds? REALLY?

I've always had the impression that I didn't hate Trump enough to pass the social litmus test in the past couple of years; I understand Trump supporters and haven't reflexively dismissed them like we're supposed to.... but it seems like he's really jumped the shark in past couple of days.

Mammy, I know someone who's been with her partner a year and is already 5 months pregnant by him. Has two kids from a previous relationship too

Poor kids.

Blended families suck for kids, and people (men included) who have children with 2 or 3 or 4 people are not prioritising their children's welfare, which I'm afraid makes them bad parents.

I can sort of understand a 2nd parter, if introduced gradually and sympathetically, sort of, but 3 and onwards is straightforwardly a crime against children.

@boopsy I lolled at 'cillian murphy looks like a women'. I think the opposite, but it just tickled me 😂

jennymanara · 08/10/2019 18:55

Some kids are easy to toilet train, wean, get to sleep whatever you do. Some of these parents then think they have the solution that all parents should do.

HotSince82 · 08/10/2019 18:57

The overwhelming majority of people have the exactly the principles which they can afford.

Has anybody posted about how adults who are really into Disney are almost always weirdos? Because they are.

getwellsoon · 08/10/2019 19:07

Hate tattoos, body piercings, or the trend for horrible eyebrows, pouty lips. What is wrong with u people. Do you ever look in a mirror. Be happy with the body you were born with.

Chillisauceboss · 08/10/2019 19:09

@namechangetheworld yes Disney adults are so creepy

formerbabe · 08/10/2019 19:10

I also hate tattoos... especially on women. My pet hate is a bride with her tattoo on show...shudder

Adogwithabone · 08/10/2019 19:34

There should be some kind of means testing before you can have children.

Similar to when you adopt a rescue dog from a shelter and they come and examine your home to make sure it's suitable for said dog. Ensure you're financially stable to support a dog and that you're physically and mentally able to raise the dog...

Funny how we do that with dogs but not with human beings....

EntropyRising · 08/10/2019 19:47

Absolutely. The dog threads are bonkers - I have a dog and agree you should think them through, but it's perfectly acceptable to tell someone they shouldn't get a small dog because they don't have a garden, but on the other hand it's fascist to suggest that you shouldn't have a baby because you have enormous debt and no job prospects.

namechangetheworld · 08/10/2019 19:48

YES to those saying that the Beatles are utter shit. I concede that they may have written some half decent songs but every time their Liverpudlian caterwauling comes on the radio it makes my ears bleed. It makes me furious that they're held in the same regard as the likes of Queen or Fleetwood Mac.

Breaking Bad was terrible. There wasn't a single likeable or interesting character in the entire show.

Tattoos are tacky on everyone, but especially on women, and especially especially on women in wedding dresses.

Channing Tatum looks like a potato. Tom Hardy isn't half as good looking as he thinks.

Heath Ledger was a very mediocre actor elevated to God like status because of his death.

This^
His Joker was boring and mawkish. He only got the Oscar cause he died.

RedPanda2 · 08/10/2019 19:55

If you 'need' a glass of wine after looking after your kids all day you probably shouldn't have had kids. And you probably have an alcohol problem

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 08/10/2019 20:01

A person with a penis is not a lesbian, and saying that biologically female lesbians should ‘get over their genital preferences’ and can learn to ‘cope just fine’ with penetrative sex from a self-declared lesbian with a ‘lady dick’ is just rapey.

Someone who has grown to adulthood biologically male and decides to transition and compete in women’s sports, and then beat most/all the biological women are basically cheats.

A woman should have the right to object to a male bodied individual doing their smear, or being a worker in a Women’s Aid shelter or rape crisis centre where they are a client.

Nutellalovesme · 08/10/2019 20:19

Trans "women" are not women (obviously)

Islam is Not a race

Trump has a soothing voice

I like Trump

People that feel its okay to fuck about on their mobiles whilst driving I hope find themselves wrapped around a tree as they are selfish thoughtless cunts

DirtyNumbAngel · 08/10/2019 20:55

Cannabis oil (complete oil not that shite you can get in Holland and Barret) should be available on prescription in the UK.

GingersAreLush · 08/10/2019 21:51

Too many women get in bad relationships that have more red flags than a Chinese parade then shout victim blaming if anyone suggests taking responsibility for their own decisions.

If women want men to take responsibility for their behaviour, as a class, they need to choose partners carefully and then both bring up sons to emulate these decent men. Don't have children with 'dangerous' men'.

I wasn’t going to comment on this thread because I hate them but I just want to point something out. Red flags that point to abusive behaviour are only useful if you know they’re red flags. If controlling abusers are all you’ve ever known and you don’t know what to look for, you won’t spot them. DV can and does go in a cycle, through generations even. I hope in more modern times more and more of us are recognising abuse when we see it but we still have a long way to go.

Society needs to hold men to account for their behaviour as a whole, we need to stop expecting women to do bloody everything and keep men in check. Why can’t men keep other men in check so they behave decently? Why don’t we have that expectation of them as well as women?

Btw I hope my opinions aren’t unpopular.

jennymanara · 08/10/2019 22:37

Its easier to blame women in abusive relationships than to blame men who are abusive,

Chillisauceboss · 08/10/2019 22:41

I believe you can be pro choice but within limits. I don't believe any woman can have an abortion at any stage for absolutely any reason. 39 weeks and husband has now left? Not a good enough reason for me. This I know goes against the v v popular MN opinionnof 'as early as possible as late as necessary'

southeastdweller · 08/10/2019 23:08

Tattoos look shit on everyone who has them.

Fines for taking kids on holiday when they should be at school should be higher. Can't afford to go on holidays in the summer holidays? Boo fucking hoo.
