It seems very out of character for Harry? Confused I wonder if he misinterpreted and thought she was asking about the lawsuit...

That is funny. Where/when was that?

BertrandRussell · 08/10/2019 08:51

But William and Kate are going to be King and Queen. Of courseIt’s fine for them to be transportes on sedan chairs carried by half naked black people. It’s different for them. And anyway, it’s much more environmentally friendly than a private jet. It shows they’re not hypocrites.....

Yeah Grin

RoseQuartzGlow · 08/10/2019 08:55

Well, I just think if M is representing the RF in her posts, it's a bit odd to use Americanised spelling. Call me a pedant if you will. i certainly think it doesn't sound like Harry is writing his own speeches. So he's effectively become a mouthpiece for her own views. As Instagram has. Whether or not you agree or disagree with her views, it grates. The whole point is they are MEANT to be representing the institution of the RF not themselves per se.Whether or not you agree or disagree with her views, it grates With me at least. I will duck now whilst the missiles start flying...

Cerseirys · 08/10/2019 08:55

@LaurieMarlow It was on their tour if the South Pacific some years ago. 2012, I think?

RoseQuartzGlow · 08/10/2019 08:56

Those photos of W and K are cringeworthy.

BertrandRussell · 08/10/2019 09:01

How about her accent? Should she change that too?

Cerseirys · 08/10/2019 09:01

You'd think that at some point they'd have had the sense to say no to such a ridiculous display. Imagine if the Sussexes had done the same on their recent tour? They'd have been absolutely crucified by the press!

diddl · 08/10/2019 09:02

"Those photos of W and K are cringeworthy."

Who organised it though?

Did W&K insist that that was how they must be transported whilst there?

Is it something that the locals wanted to do & if so should W&K have declined?

LaurieMarlow · 08/10/2019 09:05

Well it wouldn’t be unusual for the highly articulate wife to help out the not so academic husband with the boring writing stuff, no.

But a huge leap to say he’s become a mouthpiece for her. Also a very negative reflection on Harry. Is he not big and bold enough to champion what he believes in?

If he’s talking about things he doesn’t value then that’s a big failing on his part.

Cerseirys · 08/10/2019 09:05

Oh I hope not @BertrandRussell. She has such a lovely soothing voice. If she ever needed some extra cash she could do s few tracks for the Calm app!

LaurieMarlow · 08/10/2019 09:06

Did W&K insist that that was how they must be transported whilst there?

I doubt it

Is it something that the locals wanted to do & if so should W&K have declined?

Yes. Where were their advisors?

I can only imagine the outrage if the Sussexes did that. The internet would actually explode.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 08/10/2019 09:07

Well we don't know. We do know that he appears to worship his wife and hang on her every word. Which is lovely between the two of them but a bit cringe to watch.

diddl · 08/10/2019 09:16

"Yes. Where were their advisors?"

So even if it was something that the locals wanted to do it should have been declined?

LaurieMarlow · 08/10/2019 09:18

Yes. Think of the message it gives out.

Also, if it had been something the locals wanted to do for the Sussexes just ponder for a minute how that would have gone down.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 08/10/2019 09:21

Also, if it had been something the locals wanted to do for the Sussexes just ponder for a minute how that would have gone down.

I don't think it would have gone down any differently.

LaurieMarlow · 08/10/2019 09:23

I don't think it would have gone down any differently.

Just wow

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 08/10/2019 09:34

W&K in sedan chairs is not a good look.

diddl · 08/10/2019 09:37

"W&K in sedan chairs is not a good look."

I agree.

Perhaps implications were discussed?

I also think do you insult/offend the hosts by refusing?

BertrandRussell · 08/10/2019 09:45

“Locals” Grin

What- you mean the accountants and IT consultants who dress up at the weekends to reenact their past (cf Morris dancers)? I think they probably could have been made to understand.......

diddl · 08/10/2019 09:51

" I think they probably could have been made to understand....."

Have I suggested that they wouldn't have understood?

That was not my intention & I apologise if so.

BertrandRussell · 08/10/2019 09:55

Well- all this “not offending the locals” bullshit. As if W and K were the first white people they’d seen. Like something out of a book by WE Johns.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 08/10/2019 10:01

That's your interpretation Bert. Not what people have said.

diddl · 08/10/2019 10:01

" As if W and K were the first white people they’d seen."

Yeah, that's obviously what I meant.

TottieandMarchpane · 08/10/2019 10:19

Where is this? The sedan chairs were being carried by Morris dancing accountants?! Just, what? 🤯
