AIBU to even think that I could actually BE pregnant and the test was right after all?

I am undergoing fertility treatment, not due to take my test until Friday (had to wait 2 weeks and 2 days). However I have felt so helpless that I caved and bought 2 tests.

Pink dye test from B&M - cheap at 2 for £1, then one clear blue.

I got a very very faint line on my clear blue but a negative on my pink one.

I am in a group on Facebook for people undergoing IU and IVF and the majority said that Clear blue tests are notorious for false positives and a web search does confirm this.

One minute I feel heartbroken, then the next I think "I could be!"

I am too scared to test again until Friday as I am happier not knowing for sure, than getting another negative :(

Anyone have experience of mixed results on certain pregnancy tests?

Good luck, I really hope you get a positive with the FR test. That second one did look a very strong positive to me.

If I’d taken that 2nd test and didn’t want to be pregnant I’d be bricking it!!!

So pleased to see your lines getting stronger OP. Just to add I was a POAS addict after struggling with fertility for years and I only got strong lines on the cheapies when I was much further on. I think I’ve used every kind of test known to man at some point 🙈 Do your FRER and I’m sure you’ll get a nice strong line.

The first pics from yesterday definitely looked faintly positive. The ones today look a definite positive - clear as day. I used first response personally for all my pregnancies and got clear positives before I'd even finished peeing.

Your tests look positive to me! Cautious congrats and lots of luck for when you test later.

The tests you've posted definitely look good to me. I don't blame you for not being able to wait! FRER ones are really sensitive in my experience, they were turning positive by the time I'd even stopped peeing on them.

I will 100000% be taking FRER this evening but aware it may not work without it being morning pee.

I will have another spare to do in the morning though.

I hate being in work, I am too buzzed, I need to know! And pray it will be ok. Its like my head wont allow me to celebrate a positive because I know its far too early to be excited. And to be honest. I actually don't believe it!

Mainly because this was my very first fertility treatment.

I think you are pregnant. Those Clearblues aren't evaps. You should definitley get a positive on a First Response at any time of day as they are very sensitive tests. The time of day has never affected my results. x
