I've clearly got a UTI. I've peed 4 times in the past 30 mins coupled with that unmistakable pain shooting up your urethra. I know what it is.
I've to wait until 8am to get the appointment lottery with the GP.

I'm fucking pissed off tbh.

AIBU to be fucked off with my sexual partner for giving me another fucking UTI (second in as many weeks).

You do know people get UTIs even when sexually inactive, you sound immature and angry. I’m sorry you are in pain but blaming someone for something that is common to women is a bit weird

Alice honey. I'm 42 years of age. I know a UTI and I know how I get them. I'm in pain, peeing a lot (including on myself) as I had just peed so didn't believe myself, so I know the symptoms, I know exactly what is wrong with me.

UTIs aren't sexually transmitted. Sex can set them off, but it's really weird for you to be so blamey about it.

Yadid honey ( does that sound as patronising as when you said it to me) I also have have many uti’s as a grown woman. Sometimes because of sex. But I’ve never been so arrogant to blame the man for consensual sex. What is happening to you is a by product of what you chose to do. It’s not his fault, nor yours. It’s just biology being annoying

He’s a doctor? Well you should know that he hasn’t ‘given’ you a uti then because he should know that and should have explained it to you.

He apologised after the first one and I said 'Hey, look, not your fault'. But this is the second one and I'm not so blase anymore. He could be more hygienic!

If it’s your second in 2 weeks, I would make sure he knows. Don’t just assume he knows because he’s a doctor. I would also make sure my bum area was cleaner, as that’s often a cause. And if he pokes around the place with his penis, I’d not let him put it in me, if I was getting recurrent UTIs. I’d say a UTI is not only one persons fault. Although I know how awful it feels.

And you could become more educated on UTIs

A teaspoon of bicarbonate in a glass of water might ease things bit until you can get proper treatment in the morning.

The act of sex, can result in you getting a UTI however.

And if you are blaming hygiene then it’s likely the result from your own back passage rather than anything related to him

True that sex can cause a uti but if it’s consensual then you have not right to blame the partner for it
