AIBU?

AIBU to ask you to keep me company tonight?

I've clearly got a UTI. I've peed 4 times in the past 30 mins coupled with that unmistakable pain shooting up your urethra. I know what it is.
I've to wait until 8am to get the appointment lottery with the GP.
I'm fucking pissed off tbh.

AIBU to be fucked off with my sexual partner for giving me another fucking UTI (second in as many weeks). Angry

@Yadid That was kind of you!
Sorry you had to be rushed to hospital... how are you feeling now?

Well random funny story, which those of you without humour on mn won't find remotely funny, is that I was rushed by ambulance 2 nights ago - had a thread about that - it was deleted by MNHQ for some obscure reason.
Anyway. tonight, behind my laptop I find an ambulance crew kit.
So I called 111 and they said to call 999. Anyway, I did what I was told, called 999, they've taken the details of the address and date the call was taken and that the stuff is here.
I wouldn't have bothered except everything in this little crew bag is 1. pink and 2 expensive looking. So I reckon the paramedic who left it behind while trying to stop me from passing out would miss her little package. They all look like Christmas presents her family might have bought her, knowing her profession. Or that she may have bought herself.
Hopefully she will be reunited soon with her belongings. I thought 111 would have a lost and found place, but no, 999........ Have to say they were lovely on the phone. And I do recall the paramedic having to carry me down in a chair and she was a girl in her 20's maybe.
It just looked like stuff that were gifts to her so maybe from a Mum etc. - sentimental value - her first stuff and all that. I hope they find her. (I did try to take my blood pressure but it's one of those blow a balloon one so I have no idea what it is).

I also read the OP's messages as a bit aggressive, especially the honey bit which was patronising. However I think considering the pain and how easy it is to interpret text, I'd let her off. Hope you feel better OP Flowers

Well, I personally will forgive the OP for being more than a little pissed off in the circumstances. BrewCake

Nope sorry I don’t see how the OPs posts were lighthearted, they were very aggressive imo. Easy to pull the lighthearted card when posters start pulling you up for being aggressive.

@NoSauce OP was "aggressively lighthearted" - she was in horrible pain and wanted to blame somebody, especially the owner of the instrument which irritated her urethra just as it was thrilling her clitoris!Grin She wanted a distraction from the pain, someone with enough of a sense of humour to lightheartedly curse men and their stupid penises with her. I arrived too late to her UTI pity party, unfortunately. Totally get it, though.

Oh, come on. Of course it was lighthearted!

Oh come on of course it didn’t come across like that!

Oh, come on. Of course it was lighthearted! How many pregnant women who are uncomfortable at 500 weeks pregnant have said they've looked at their peacefully sleeping partners with murderous thoughts. No one says, "honey, don't be ridiculous. It's not his fault!" Hmm

@Yadid hope you managed to get some sleep and an appointment at the GP! Flowers

I also have a UTI and am waiting to go to the doctors. I've had it for over two weeks, been on two sets of antibiotics but had to stop both as I've had an allergic reaction to them.

I feel like absolute crap. I get why OP is worried about peeing herself, this can happen when the urethra gets particularly inflamed. It has happened to me before. OP, you have my utmost sympathy.

Also, cranberry juice is just a myth.

Well this thread is something else. Op I've had hundreds of UTIs and sex is a massive trigger. But I've never thought to blame the person I've had sex with... You know the risks when you have sex so it's equally your own doing.

You need the OTC Cystitis sachets to take out some of the burn then you need to start antibiotics. Get to the gp this morning. You do have my sympathy, they are horrendous.

@NoSauce for ffs sake I’m not the other person you think I am. Who can I contact on mumsnet to confirm this?

Who do you think that I think you are? Grin
Please tell me because I don’t know.

I wonder if your first one hadn’t completely cleared if you have one again after two weeks?

I get them a lot. No sex here so can’t blame that.

D-Manoose is great- can get on Amazon. Take daily to prevent UTIs and more regularly if you get one.

I have one now and got some Sainsbury’s brand cystitis relief stuff today and it has really helped.

Drink lots of water. Take some bicarbonate if you have some as it stops the stinging.

I think I'd rather suffer in silence than try to find comfort on MN! Sheesh, talk about goady! How are you feeling, OP? UTIs are from hell and anyone who may or may not have "given" me one can go die in a hole! Grin

Wont help this time, but moving forwards a tiny spoon of D-Mannose in water a day keeps the UTI away x

Report
CupoTeap · 19/09/2019 05:44

should be has your thread been distracting enough for you Grin

See if the gp will give you extra to keep for next time.

I've had some horrible ones.

Would suggest starting to collect a sample now so it's sorted.

Very scientific and completely pointless and useless; well done for the prize of not bothering to read

I’m not reading 4 pages.
But get this AFTER sex, drink plenty of water and sit on the toilet until you pee. This flushed out bacteria that is introduced into the urethra fron the thrusting action.
