Boots are laying out the shelves for Chrimbo.

I know. I know they do this at this time in September, but FUCK IT!

IT'S TOO FUCKING EARLY FOR THIS SHITE!!

Zoella has been joined by Fearne Cotton and Gabriella Fletcher for twee, inspirational bollocks, Disney is heavily represented, entire aisles are pink and rose gold copper, the gadgets are in black packaging, the food is complete junk and the prices are bloated

Seriously? £12 for 26 bits of card in a little stand with fatuous 'inspirational' bollocks on them.

IT'S NOT EVEN A CALENDAR!

Just ignore it Grin

BlueJava · 18/09/2019 17:48

It's only there because people buy it... you know what to do!

Gingernaut · 18/09/2019 17:48

Giovanna Fletcher.

I don't know where Gabriella came from. 😳

I like getting prepared early. It's less stressful & spreads the cost!

BanKittenHeels · 18/09/2019 17:50

Lots of people like to prepare for a large event differently to you. Confused

Gingernaut · 18/09/2019 17:50

It's just toot!

YABU (but only because you asked) runs away back to the Christmas board

Alloftheboys · 18/09/2019 17:51

It’s all half price or less on Boxing Day.

beatriceprior · 18/09/2019 17:52

It is too early but still I think I will buy some bits next week to put away and get some done early.

Alloftheboys · 18/09/2019 17:52

And yes a lot is toot but I like to stock up on my usual smellies when they’re cheap.

Gingernaut · 18/09/2019 17:53

Who would buy some of this shite at half price??

Not to worry you but Brexit is imminent - supply chain issues may mean that come November people might be brawling in the Boots Aisles for this fecken tat.

Eugh! YANBU. This is grim.

FrangipaniBlue · 18/09/2019 17:58

My local B&M also have all their Christmas display out.

Grim.

Heyboyo · 18/09/2019 17:58

Our Christmas stuff has went live and it’s selling big time. Not many pay days left

Gingernaut · 18/09/2019 18:00

@ChaosTrulyReigns, I have noticed strange gaps in the shelves.

I couldn't find Vosene for love nor money.....

SmileCheese · 18/09/2019 18:02

Way too early but you'll get lots of people telling you its fine and people like to buy early. Christmas occurs every year on the same day I don't understand why people don't just buy stuff throughout the year when they see a gift someone they know would like? Why do we need Christmas aisles 3 months before the day?

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 18/09/2019 18:03

My shop gets ready mid-end October 🤔

Lllot5 · 18/09/2019 18:04

Mince pies in the co op.
Bit too early for me. Although the other day I did but hit cross buns.

Londonmummy66 · 18/09/2019 18:07

I was in Fortnum & Mason in July and they had Christmas stuff on sale. Thought they would have a bit more class.

Gingernaut · 18/09/2019 18:08

@Lllot5, my local Sainsbury's is selling mince pies as a Manager's Choice, stacking them up in an old Cadbury's stand

Christmas before the kids are even back at school in August...
FFS, life is too short, these idiots are ruining Christmas for everybody.

I ignore as much as possible, I don't want to wish my life away. Christmas is ONE day! I will put a tree up on the 1st December, and that's the earliest I want to think about bloody Christmas. (and I do my online shopping the weekend before, so it's all done, will come off November pay, time to wrap up all the presents and breathe)

To be fair, Grotto and panto are booked in the summer but only because there's no space left in September...Angry

Skyejuly · 18/09/2019 18:09

Most of its trash

SmileCheese · 18/09/2019 18:09

Mince pies in the co op

Tesco had advent calendars and selection boxes yesterday. Sad
