Harmless little acts of rebellion

This is completely LIGHTHEARTED.

My husband absolutely cannot stand Cardi B at all. If she comes on the radio he will switch off, if her songs on the TV he will exit the room or change the channel. Now I don't think she's amazing but, I must admit she has some catchy songs.

My little act of rebellion is when I'm in the car alone, if Cardi B comes on the radio I will turn it up extremely loud and sing my heart out, even giving the woman herself a run for her money. Grin

What are you little acts of rebellion?

As my got of a dp just refused to stop watching the football to rescue me from the huge bastard of a spider that was on the bedroom wall, leaving me to deal with it (caught in a glass and released into next doors garden).. I have retreated back up with his last can of beer, and a packet of crisps.. He absolutely hates food in the bedroom... There may be crumbs scattered.... 😏😊😂😉

Duvetdazed · 17/09/2019 21:27

Git.. Not got. Oops.

Hecateh · 17/09/2019 22:19

In the dead of night, when there is no one around, I drive the wrong way round mini roundabouts.

BanKittenHeels · 17/09/2019 22:20

My DH can’t stand Phil Mitchell from Eastenders, so I changed every photo in the house to photos of Phil Mitchell.

Turning toilet rolls around if they are hanging over instead of under. Hotels, bars, restaurants and other people's bathrooms are all fair game.

PS: I also turn the radio over (or off) if Ed Sheeran, Jess Glynne or Anne Marie comes on.

NameChangedForTheDay · 17/09/2019 22:25

Sorry. That read / typed wrong. I always have to have the loo roll hanging OVER the top. Not under.

SophyStantonLacy · 17/09/2019 22:27

Putting stamps on upside down.

Casander · 17/09/2019 22:29

Me and DH had a petty disagreement last week mainly because I'm 820 years pregnant and hormonal but he really annoyed me so the next day while he was at work I watched all 'our' programmes recorded on the sky planner and then text him to tell him. That showed him.

NameChangedForTheDay · 17/09/2019 22:29

I always take too many napkins from the work canteen when I get food from there on ocassions.

It's not subsidised and ridiculously expensive. Any left over napkins at the end of the week end up in my bag for emergency kitchen roll situations at home. 👀

HennyPennyHorror · 17/09/2019 22:30

I threw a plastic bottle into the general refuse bin yesterday. We are obsessive about recycling but sometimes I slip back into the 1970s and just wang it in the bin. Blush

It's very rare.

PurpleDaisies · 17/09/2019 22:30

I add/erase punctuation to menus in pubs and cafes.

Oh, @PurpleDaisies you're fabulous.

iklboo · 17/09/2019 22:32

When the voice in Asda tells you to stand still and hold the handrail on the travelator I do a little dance instead.

SouthernComforts · 17/09/2019 22:36

I turn my work computer off but leave the monitor on, on standby. It's against the rulez but I'm petty.

KitKat1985 · 17/09/2019 22:36

We've recently been banned from using the ward stock of teabags for ourselves, despite the fact that most of us work through our breaks for nothing each day, and have been told if we are caught using a teabag we will be fired. Hmm I shall be making an effort therefore to drink more tea and use more teabags than usual over the coming months.

Ahundredpercentthatbitch · 17/09/2019 22:37

My DH is really obsessed with saving water in the washing up bowl to tip on the garden. If I’m running the tap in the kitchen sink he’ll do an eye roll sigh type thing and swivel the tap over the washing up bowl so that it gets full of soapy, dirty, stagnant greasy water. After it’s stayed like that for a few hours he’ll eventually tip it over the flower bed.

When I’m at home on my own I don’t save the water! I just let it run on down the plug hole. [shocked]

Shinysun · 17/09/2019 22:39

I've taken a book from every job I left. I've worked in different areas of social work. I started doing this during my training. I used to see these sad books that never got used just collecting dust on a book shelf, and I found them fascinating. I've got quite a collection now. I recently disclosed this to a student who has been shadowing me. I have no idea why I did this- she looked quite disappointed but I secretly felt proud.

PickingUpLicks · 17/09/2019 22:39

When I'm hanging out the washing I don't use matching pegs on each item.

NameChangedForTheDay · 17/09/2019 22:40

I used to work with someone who saved his morning shit until he got into the office. He said our employer took the piss so much out of its staff that he was going to bloody well get paid for his first crap of the day.

10:30 every day, he'd tuck a tabloid paper under his arm and announce he'd be back in 20. 🤣

BlackboardMonitorVimes · 17/09/2019 22:41

I ignore the arrows on the roads in Sainsbury's car park. They are laid out badly, I prefer my way.

Shinysun · 17/09/2019 22:41

@Hecateh this is so naughty! I laughed out loud when I read it at the thought of someone whizzing round a roundabout the wrong way Grin

Skinnychip · 17/09/2019 22:43

Please tell me you add £ signs as well when pretending to be hip places advertise a price as 9.4 instead of £9.40 for example!!

HereIGoAgainAndAgainAndAgain · 17/09/2019 22:46

@PurpleDaisies @Skinnychip and the pennies 0! 9.4 isn't money, it's 9.40. I do this too. I make sure I carry a pen with me at all times so I am prepared

cheeseandbiscuitss · 17/09/2019 22:48

@Hecateh I absolutely love this! And can't stop laughing imagining the thought process behind it
