Harmless little acts of rebellion

This is completely LIGHTHEARTED.

My husband absolutely cannot stand Cardi B at all. If she comes on the radio he will switch off, if her songs on the TV he will exit the room or change the channel. Now I don't think she's amazing but, I must admit she has some catchy songs.

My little act of rebellion is when I'm in the car alone, if Cardi B comes on the radio I will turn it up extremely loud and sing my heart out, even giving the woman herself a run for her money. Grin

What are you little acts of rebellion?

I change the standard background on my computer at work (every day) to something I want to have.
Each morning when I switch on, it reverts to the corporate one - and each morning, I change it to a chosen background......

I deliberately stack the dishwasher in a hap hazard fashion just so he can rearrange every fucking thing in it. I started doing it after 20 years of him opening the door and moving a few things around no matter how I had stacked it. So now I just fling it in at random.

PurpleDaisies · 17/09/2019 22:53

Please tell me you add £ signs as well when pretending to be hip places advertise a price as 9.4 instead of £9.40 for example!!

I am very rarely in hip places but I would definitely do as you suggest if I saw that abomination.

I’m a primary school teacher so I usually photograph the errors first then get my very young children to spot and correct them. I hope I’m arming the next generation of grammar warriors.

Every time I go to the supermarket, I put a copy of the Daily Mirror over the copies of The S*n to make it look like the shitrag is out of stock so nobody buys it.

FlashAhHaaaaa · 17/09/2019 22:59

My sister is a staunch guardian reading socialist who thinks the Daily Mail and the Daily Telegraph should be banned so once I got her laptop and changed her screensaver to hundreds of tiny pics of the DM and DT.

Loveislandaddict · 17/09/2019 23:00

Loving these rebellions.

Can’t really think of any myself.

Must try harder!

Inebriati · 17/09/2019 23:02

I stick googly eyes on things to make faces.

Skinnychip · 17/09/2019 23:05

I rearrange stuff in MILs bathroom as she is a big fan of "pottering" when she comes to our house which is essentially tidying/rearranging things so you can't find them for at least 4 dats after she has left.

Having been kept awake until 4 in the morning by some sort of college football team meet on our hotel floor, I turned all the Do Not Disturb signs round to read Please Make Up My Room on the way to breakfast later that morning.

OneHanded · 17/09/2019 23:14

I bike straight over mini roundabouts. They flattened a few for for big women’s cycle this year but I have always and forever will do the raised ones too 😅

IreneWinters · 17/09/2019 23:15

I never snap KitKats into fingers, I bite into them like they are any other chocolate bar. The look of horror on people’s faces is very amusing. Especially when it’s a four finger bar.

Ludways · 17/09/2019 23:18

I send emails with no capital at the beginning of the addressee name.

"Hello darren"

Dh takes a portable speaker into the bathroom if he has a bath, which tbh isn't very often, I take it over and play Shania Twain, who he hates.

I sometimes leave the en-suite light on when I get into bed, so when we turn the light off to sleep it annoys him so much he has to get out of bed to turn it off. It wouldn't bother me so he knows he can't win. The trick is not to do it so often he expects it!

NameChangedForTheDay · 17/09/2019 23:19

@IreneWinters, this meme I saw years ago was made for you. Grin

@IreneWinters ha ha, I do that too! It used to really annoy my dd until she realised she could really annoy her friends with it too... I'm creating an evil twin! Mwah ha ha

Someone phone the cops. 🚨

I by footwear my mother doesn't approve of. The lack of approval may make sense if they were 8 inch heels, but she has an issue with decently soled non feminine style footwear. Took me until I was 35 to do this. I walk so much, it's saved me a damn fortune and a world of blisters buying those ugly shoes.

I branched out and bought DD similar ones for school recently. Expecting the same results of not wearing out.

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 17/09/2019 23:22

Buy. Thanks autocorrect

RavenLG · 17/09/2019 23:24

@staedtlerpencil we did that to a friend once at a work convention and the maid walked in on him having a poo! He had left the bathroom door open which opened right into the hall where the door was.

pamperramper · 17/09/2019 23:25

I had a colleague who did all his personal stuff at work for the first 1.5 hours every day.

AgeLikeWine · 17/09/2019 23:25

I always peel banana from the ‘wrong’ end and eat it holding the stalk. When you try it, you realise it’s the obviously correct way to do it.

I was taught to do this by a clever female orang-utan in Borneo. She munched her way through a big bunch of bananas while holding them ‘upside down’ by the stalks in her left hand and peeling each in turn with her right. When she had finished the bunch, she chucked the skins, which were still connected together by their stalks, over her shoulder.

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 17/09/2019 23:25

I also refuse to empty the dishwasher. DH has banned me from stacking it due to my inefficiency when he's not around I cope fine, everything comes out clean and no one dies so when he tells me everything in the dishwasher is clean meaning I should empty it, I don't Grin

CheeseToastMarmite · 17/09/2019 23:35

if DH buys clothes I don’t like, I hide them for a while and see if he misses them. If he doesn’t notice I lose them at the bottom of the charity bag.

Whyhaveidonethis · 17/09/2019 23:36

I used to work in prisons and one day an absolute cow of a prison officer told me off in front of people I was Senior to for wearing a (appropriate length, it was to my knees) dress to work. I've worn a dress to work every day since just to spite her! Even though I no longer work with her or in prisons.

ineedtoeatnow · 17/09/2019 23:37

Munching a whole kit Kat is the correct way! Breaking it off and getting melty chocolately fingers is madness!
