On Tuesday, he said he would release the transcript of the call and confirmed reports that his administration temporarily froze almost $400 million in aid to Ukraine. But he gave a new reason for doing so: He said he wanted European countries to contribute money, too, and did not want the United States to do so alone'

He literally only just came up with the European angle whilst at the UN. And everywhere it says he pushed about Biden's son eight times.
Is that the best the GOP can come up with?!

For some reason I'm struggling to be excited about impeachment. I'm sure it will be long and dirty. I hope it doesn't backfire.

I really think Trump would go for that, Lweji. He seems to hate actually doing the job of President.

The kicker is, he would only agree if it came with a narrative that this was really about him "winning" or "being loved" or "being the greatest".

I honestly think if he were told a special new emeritus position was being created, just for him, of Supreme Bestest President For Life Above All Serving Presidents, but he could only have it if resigned from Boring Ordinary President today, he'd bite.

Especially if told that Obama had wanted the position but wasn't considered good enough.Grin

They could pay people to cheer him at fake rallies; that would keep him happy.

Come to think of it, that's what happens now anyway...

In other words, it could be (and probably is) carefully doctored in a way that leaves plenty of 'wiggle room' to say that there are 'misquotes', 'misstatements', and/or 'doesn't express the intent of the statement'.

It will be interesting to see how much (if at all) the Whistleblower corroborates the 'transcript'.

Speaking of which, Trump at the UN yesterday! Sorry if we've covered this, and I know yesterday was a lifetime ago, but, good god, trump looked unwell.
