From back in Decemeber:

'This shouldn’t get lost in the avalanche of crazy. The wall we need is between DOJ and the White House. The foundation of our democracy- the rule of law- depends on it.' Sally Q. Yates.

Fiona Hill’s testimony today - and Bolton might actually be a good guy here.

Today the White House’s former top Russia adviser told impeachment investigators that Giuliani ran a shadow foreign policy in Ukraine that circumvented U.S. officials and diplomats in order to personally benefit President Trump.

Interesting.

'What if the president wants out? There’s much about the job he never liked, which is one reason he spends so much time watching TV rather than actually doing it. Under normal circumstances, it involves any number of things he once avoided; shaking hands with germy people, being talked at by experts who know more than he, sitting still for extended periods, being criticized no matter what he does, empathizing — all important parts of the job. He has gone to considerable lengths to reshape the role, fired the experts, cleared his schedule, kept up his golf game … but still. The campaigning was fun, but the best evidence of how little he likes presiding is how seldom he’s actually done it.'

It's kind of true though isn't it Trump lashed out and caused this because he's angry about the whole impeachment thing

cozietoesie · 15/10/2019 10:38

Yes.
But Trump is not responsible for his own emotional responses. Grin

Democrats should lay low in case Trump decides to invite NK troops into the US.

I reckon Trump’s lawyer started all this. (Just kidding. I think.)

“If they enforce it, then we will see what happens," he says.

No impeachment vote for now. This triggers Republicans everywhere who feel the rule of law isn’t being upheld; it is. There doesn’t need to be a vote.

House of Representatives will hold off on a full vote to authorize impeachment probe, House Speaker Pelosi says reut.rs/2IUoTdF

AcrossthePond55 · 16/10/2019 03:04

Nancy wants this thing airtight before a vote. I don't blame her. A 'failed' impeachment in the House would be a disaster. And she won't want any 'loose ends' straggling around for the Repugs to grab hold of.

Good question. Call me cynical but I think we know the answer.

It'd like McCain. They'll scream but then won't vote.

Good lord:

www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/oct/15/harry-dunn-parents-trump-white-house-anne-sacoolas

'British parents grieving their teenage son have told how, during a visit to the White House on Tuesday, Donald Trump dropped the “bombshell” that the woman who allegedly killed him in a road crash was waiting for them in an adjoining room.

Charlotte Charles and Tim Dunn turned down the rushed offer to meet Anne Sacoolas, who is married to a US diplomat, describing it as “not appropriate” with no mediators or therapists present.'
