WIBU to buy 7 of the same jumper

I picked a jumper up in town on Friday and wore it to work today and I am OBSESSED with it.

It's so soft and cosy and warm but not bulky. It's plain enough to go with anything but has a small amount of shoulder and sleeve detailing in exactly my style. It's the perfect length, it's slimming.

It's perfect for work and would also look dressy with some skinny jeans and heeled boots for an evening out.

WIBU to buy 3 more in one colour (so 4 all together) and two in a different colour or have I completely lost my mind??

I have basically found the perfect jumper and I never want to wear anything else.

I buy multiples of basics like vests, underwear, tights and leggings but a jumper? Nah, I'd rather have different jumpers in my collection then wear it to death and get a new jumper. My size and shape would change before I got bored of the style. In my experience, the different colours are never the exact same fit so they'll all be different anyway.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 16/09/2019 18:36

I really like it in black! I have too many jumpers or I would be getting one too :)

SilverCrushedVelvetX · 16/09/2019 18:38

I can't see no link to the jumper 😔 nothing come up for me to click on.

GiveMeHope103 · 16/09/2019 18:39

I think it's pretty but it's very specific and looks like you are wearing the same thing all the time. And even in another colour it might then seem you got them cheap. But they arent.

Elieza · 16/09/2019 18:42

Why not. I do that a lot when I have the cash.

If someone has the money then they should buy what they like. Wear it and donate it to charity once finished with it!

Ive had duplicate pairs of boots with goldy studs that I put black nail varnish on one pair to make them look a bit different from the other ones. Don’t think that would work on the zips right enough and I don’t know how it would wash. Just mentioning.

thecatinthetwat · 16/09/2019 18:42

Genius!

Expressedways · 16/09/2019 18:42

I really like it! Definitely yes to buying in additional colours (I do this with the uniqlo knitwear and own 3 whistles sparkle knit jumpers), however have you now bought 3 in black?? It’s pretty specific because of the fab shoulder detail so I can’t imagine you wanting to wear it day after day so unless I’m misunderstanding this strikes me as bit bonkers.

TSSDNCOP · 16/09/2019 18:45

I do the same in Uniqlo all the time.

HavelockVetinari · 16/09/2019 18:46

I love it! Getting one now!

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 16/09/2019 18:46

I like it! I also want to be living somewhere where it's already jumper weather and not still warm and humid like the SE.

Biancadelrioisback · 16/09/2019 18:47

I can't see a link???

PrincessHoneysuckle · 16/09/2019 18:48

I cant see the jumper pic!

Samaranian · 16/09/2019 18:50

So I only got one more in the black and 2 in the burgendy... I will probably wear one to work twice a week and then save the other for going out very rare to a nice restaurant or the theatre or something... Then I don't know about the burgendy ones Smile

If I had name changed before I'd posted this I would post a picture of me in the jumper for work today because I actually think it looks better on me than it does on the model (not to be big headed, I'm a size 14 and fairly average looking) but I got a size down so it's not sort of baggy looking

Gap do linen and or/cotton joggers. They're SO comfortable and can be dressed up or down and for me are nicer and much more comfortable than jeans. I buy two in each colour - usually 3 or 4 colours and live in them. I hate buying clothes and will always buy two or three if I really like something.

15thOctober2019 · 16/09/2019 18:53

Not really suitable for work?

Samaranian · 16/09/2019 18:54

It's definitely suitable for my work - I work in an office and my manager even said she loved my jumper today! It is a smart casual office thiugh so appreciate might not be suitable for somewhere very corporate.

hiphopchick · 16/09/2019 18:55

@Samaranian 7 sounds a bit batshit. Unless they are in different colours.

gowgow · 16/09/2019 18:57

Different colours yes. I wouldn't want people to think I was wearing a jumper more than once before washing - yuk!

twofingerstoEverything · 16/09/2019 18:58

Viscose will bobble like buggery.

MaybeitsMaybelline · 16/09/2019 19:02

I have bought multiple items to wear exactly the same when I like something. Yanbu.

I won’t be copying your jumper though so you’re all good x

PerkingFaintly · 16/09/2019 19:02

BUY THEM! Grin

It's one of the pieces of wisdom I've acquired with age: if you find the right thing, carpe cardi!

I've never regretted such multibuys, and have frequently regretted failing to buy.

lovemenorca · 16/09/2019 19:04

Nice jumper but spoilt by the length

PerkingFaintly · 16/09/2019 19:05

Oops, realise you've shown great good sense and already done so.

Good move!

Dangerfloof · 16/09/2019 19:05

I do the same, especially in bras. If I find one I like and fits, i buy 3.
I had a gorgeous fleece jumper years ago, bought another cos i loved it so much.
Jean's too, found a lovely fitting pair from white stuff in the sale. Sadly missed out on any more but I wanted many pairs.

IsobelRae23 · 16/09/2019 19:07

That is really nice!! Go for it! (By the time I have some money for one it will be out of stock 😥)
