DS 21st asked him what he wanted. A weeks holiday with me was the answer. 😁
But Ive been looking for days now and cant find the right type of place. His only requirement was not chavy and a pool.
It has to be May half term ( 23rd) due to work.
My budget it £ 600 each and All inclusive hopefully as he eats me out of house and home. Does such a holiday exist?
Ive been looking at Adeje in Tenerife Dalaman in Turkey.
Please help me find a nice one as I really want it to be nice and spend a bit of time with just me and him. I hardly see much of him as he's working shifts.
TIA

Bump

MaidenMotherCrone · 15/09/2019 12:20

Bit out there but there are lots of pools in Iceland. It's an amazing place.

iklboo · 15/09/2019 12:23

Bulgaria is really nice and not too expensive. Eating / drinking out is cheap too.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 15/09/2019 12:24

What about the Algarve?

MakeMineALarge1 · 15/09/2019 12:24

I'd be looking more at Spain, both Tenerife and Turkey ate 4hr flights that will add to the overall price.

Ivgotasecretcanyoukeepit · 15/09/2019 12:26

What about New York? Or does it have to be a sun holiday?
I suppose New York wouldn’t be all inclusive though.
Have you tried looking at Ibiza? Not necessarily San Antonio as it’s easy to get to?

AspergersEyes · 15/09/2019 12:29

Iceland is ridiculously expensive.

kaytee87 · 15/09/2019 12:29

I like protaras in Cyprus and Corralejo in Fuertaventura

AspergersEyes · 15/09/2019 12:29

But could be have his definition of 'chavy' before commenting, as definitions will vary

allgoodinthehood · 15/09/2019 13:24

Definition of chavy is In his humble opinion of a current 20 year old so please No offence to anyone.

Tweennightmare · 15/09/2019 13:31

*the should be then

Thehop · 15/09/2019 13:31

Look at Spain, cheaper flights

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 15/09/2019 13:32

Have you tried firstchoice? All of their holidays are all inclusive and you can put the price you want to spend as a filter. I just tried it flying from Gatwick and it came up with Malta

BarbaraofSeville · 15/09/2019 13:36

The Canaries are not necessarily more expensive because they are far away.

We find the flight price the same or even cheaper than Balerics and eating out usually cheaper. We've been to Lanzarote for £30 return, but I'd be surprised if you could get nice AI in the school holidays for £600 pp.

If the airports suit, put your details in the deals section of jet2holidays and see what comes up. Read the descriptions to check for the absence of 'young and lively' type places.

WhiteWineAndMagnums · 15/09/2019 13:37

Your son sounds like a gem Smile

BluebellsareBlue · 15/09/2019 13:41

You and your son sound lovely 💕 I hope you both have an amazing time wherever you go

Wonkydonkey44 · 15/09/2019 13:44

Morocco?

blubberyboo · 15/09/2019 14:01

My brother has been to sunny beach Bulgaria and marmaris turkey self catering and found it very cheap to eat and drink out..something like 45p a pint during happy hour

I recommend trying Rhodes or crete as well as often you can pick up a basic Greek self catering accommodation for a good price and they always seem to get decent reviews

Also easyJet are releasing their summer dates on 19th sept so if you hold off a few more days it’s a good idea to price via easyJet holidays even for Majorca or Portugal. You’ll have to add on luggage and transfers as extra but get a free handluggage case each as well if you can travel with one or 2 small main suitcases. If you go to Santa ponsa or palma nova or somewhere near an airport it should then be a cheap taxi fare or add on the easyJet transfer. We always use easyJet holidays for city breaks to Europe and find them the cheapest and they seem to be cheap to Spain. They fly to costa del sol and Ibiza as well. Ibiza has some beautiful peaceful resorts geared towards families and couples. Just avoid San Antonio as it’s the party area. I recommend portintax Ibiza it is stunning

Sparklesocks · 15/09/2019 14:04

MaidenMotherCrone Iceland is lovely but £600 pp is unlikely to cover it

blubberyboo · 15/09/2019 14:04

Guardsman18 · 15/09/2019 14:05

I've been looking at Loveholidays. Some really good bargains on there especially if you can go from London airports.

I choose a local one and the prices go up a bit but still really affordable.

Good luck and enjoy!

PutyourtoponTrevor · 15/09/2019 14:06

Are you looking for a sun holiday? Unless you go to the canaries, the weather won't be that great in Spain. Turkey might be your best bet, I'd personally avoid Bulgaria

blubberyboo · 15/09/2019 14:08

We went to Iceland for 3 nights and it was £715 for 2 ppl for flights and hotel b&b ... but we then spent 500 on tours and another 650 on lunches dinners few drinks and a few souvenirs ...and that was only for 3 nights!! .it’s defo one to save long term for though as it was amazing
