AIBU to find this weird ? 'Single mum munch box'

So if you're in Scotland you will know what a munchy box is. Basically it's a pizza box from the chippy, Indian or Chinese filled with a variety of stuff. DH is out tonight, im throwing a mild strop about food we have in the house and so I was browsing the local Just Eat to see what I might order. One oif the local chippy/Indians do a 'Single Mum Munchy Box'
Why do they think this is specifically for single mums? The chocolate?

When my husband moved up to Scotland he was horrified we deep fry pizzas, now we batter them and deep fry them, delicious

A couple of years ago I held a 'fish supper' to raise a bit of money for the RNLI and invited about 30 people to visit, eat and donate. We live in Ireland but DH is originally from Glasgow so for a laugh, I made some battered Mars Bars.
No-one had heard of a battered mars bars and were initially very dubious about trying them, but a few drinks later and they were the hit of the evening.

Maybe I'll have to do something similar to Munchy boxes this year...?

I love a munchy box because I'm so indecisive - you don't have to choose, you get a wee bit of everything.

I live in Scotland but I’ve never had one - I get fish and chips sometimes but i’m scared of the other weird things like battered pizza and doner meat.

But still I think the concept is a good one, just should be called a single parent munchy box to not be sexist. That wouldn’t happen though!

That’s my breakfast sorted for the morning - your hot roll is a winner! Serve it with fizzy juice and we’ll really confuse the non-Scots .
When you do find a deep fried mars bar make sure you have it with cheap vanilla ice cream - the posh stuff just doesn’t cut it

Isn Bru is RUSTcoloured - that is because it is made in Scotland, from girders. ("girrrrrderrrrs")

@sweetkitty my local does a vegan munch box - deep fried seitan, vegan haggis, smoked carrot, garlic deep fried mushrooms, pickled shred.... other stuff I can't identify....

Pizza crunch is vile, the blandest thing on the menu. Take the cheapest, flavourless pizza you can find and batter and deep fry it.

I came close to ordering a fish munchie box tonight, 2 bits of fish, a fishcake, scampi, fritters and chips. Given a fish supper is normally about £6 it is exceptionally cheap.

Single mum munchie box is just a bit of fun with the name, single dads or anyone else won't be excluded from buying them.

In central Scotland nearly every take away offers some version of a munchie box.

I forgot the breakfast munchie box.

My village cafe does one for about £12. It's got 4 link sausage, 4 fried eggs, 2 tattie scones, 2 tubs of beans, 2 haggis, 2 black pudding, 2 half tomato and toast. They were the perfect hangover cure delivered to your door but the cafe doesn't open Sunday any more and nobody wants them the rest of the week.
