If so can you tell me where it is? To the rigjt of the middle there looks to be a giant game of garden chess my DS would absolutely love that!

DaughterOfEvening · 12/09/2019 17:24

Maybe Yorkshire Sculpture Park

ReformedB0t · 12/09/2019 17:26

I don't think it's Burton Agnes but that looks lovely to add to the list!

It didn't look quote like YSP to me, but it's been a few years since I visited

Anything else to go on OP? That's a bit generic.

RosesAndRaindrops · 12/09/2019 17:28

Not sure where it is, but if it's South Yorkshire it won't be Burton Agnes as that's East Yorkshire area.

Michaelbaubles · 12/09/2019 17:28

Not Burton Agnes but I remember large outdoor games at Burton Constable (although I don’t think that’s where the photo is) including possibly chess!

ReformedB0t · 12/09/2019 17:31

I've only got that photo, I've seen it on Insta and know the person lives in the Harrogate/Leeds area but that's all. I'd ask the poster but it's a celeb so I've no chance of a reply Star

Where is the photo from? If it's from social media an you not ask the person who posted the picture?

MumofTinies · 12/09/2019 17:32

Oops cross posted, sorry OP!

RandomlyChosenName · 12/09/2019 17:35

I’m always a bit wary of posts like this in case the poster has a different reason for trying to trace the area in the picture.

BigFatLiar · 12/09/2019 17:38

Why not just google for outdoor chess in your area

Pointlessquestions · 12/09/2019 17:39

Harewood house

Pointlessquestions · 12/09/2019 17:39

Definitely - it's by the lake. It's a lovely place- animals and a fab adventure playground x

ILikeyourHairyHands · 12/09/2019 17:43

Well Harrogate and Leeds are North amd West Yorkshire, so South Yorkshire's probably off the mark!

ReformedB0t · 12/09/2019 17:43

Harewood House! I was there with DS in the summer but didn't venture that down thank you. We have done outdoor chess locally and surprisingly it's hard to find places further afield so all other suggestions welcome - saves me trawling through every Google listed chess club in Yorkshire!!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 12/09/2019 17:44

Harewood House is very close to Leeds and Harrogate. It also has zillions of Red Kites, amazing place.

optimisticpessimist01 · 12/09/2019 17:44

Clumber Park? Nottinghamshire

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 12/09/2019 17:45

Nunnington Hall in North Yorkshire has a lovely outdoor Chess set, next to the ice cream shop :-)

CeeCeeEnnEss · 12/09/2019 17:49

Lotherton Hall

RosesAndRaindrops · 12/09/2019 17:52

I thought Lotherton Hall at first but I don't think it is as I don't think there's a lake there and it looks like there is one in this pic?
There was giant games last time I went though.....

RosesAndRaindrops · 12/09/2019 17:53

Exactly, all these suggestions and everyone's saying North and West Grin
(Aware my Lotherton is West lol)

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 12/09/2019 18:07

I’ve just moved close to Harewood. Does anyone know whether you pay to go into the grounds and the playground or do you only pay for the house?

It’s not clear from their website
