If so can you tell me where it is? To the rigjt of the middle there looks to be a giant game of garden chess my DS would absolutely love that!

Winky, yes you have to pay to go in the grounds too.

Pointlessquestions · 12/09/2019 18:57

Yes you pay for the grounds- we have an annual pass it works out much cheaper if you are planning on going a few times and you get free entry to a lot of their events.

GPatz · 12/09/2019 19:01

'I’m always a bit wary of posts like this in case the poster has a different reason for trying to trace the area in the picture'.

Agree.

birdsbehindclouds · 12/09/2019 19:07

Lotherton Hall also have the outdoor chess.

ReformedB0t · 12/09/2019 19:21

Those concerned should note as stated previously, this picture is from a celebrities Insta. I have actually hidden their hold which is more than they did! Understand your points but I've censored the picture more than the photographer!

ReformedB0t · 12/09/2019 19:21

Hidden their *child

I’m with @RandomlyChosenName - for all we know you could be trying to track down a family member who doesn’t want to be found (ie. we don’t know that this has been posted by a celebrity)

Lockheart · 12/09/2019 19:26

If it's from a celebrities Instagram why wouldn't you just post a link instead of taking the time to black out the photo? It's in the public domain already after all.

I have to admit I'm with RandomlyChosenName - I wish people would be a bit more careful before answering these sorts of posts. I'm sure you have genuine reasons OP but I'm sure there are better ways to go about it.

15thOctober2019 · 12/09/2019 19:36

Is their child flying?

Sugarplumfairy65 · 12/09/2019 19:38

Its Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I was there last weekend.

ReformedB0t · 12/09/2019 19:47

The child is running after something, in the distance. I don't need to justify myself however I will add that it was off 'stories' and I use the app, I don't think I can get links either off the app or to there story. I also don't think it's right for me to identify the celebrity with details of where they live!

OP posts:
Lockheart · 12/09/2019 19:55

ReformedB0t the celebrity has already put the picture in the public domain - they're identifying themselves. Who's the celebrity?

ReformedB0t · 12/09/2019 20:01

But I've now stated the area they live in and together we have identified somewhere they may visit regularly. I don't think it's appropriate to name them.

OP posts:
Lockheart · 12/09/2019 20:05

Of course you're not.

Sorry OP I was giving you the benefit of the doubt but frankly you're being shady now.

It's ok to share the name of a celebrity who posts publicly on social media. Clearly they have no problem people knowing where they've been. So the only reason I can think of that you don't want to post it is because it's not from a celebrities account at all.

Marmite27 · 12/09/2019 20:05

It’s not Lotherton, but they do have giant chess. I tripped over a fecking pawn on Sunday after apple picking.

Jiggeriepokerie · 12/09/2019 20:07

You're protecting a celebrity's identity when that celebrity has already put everything into a public forum?! Why??!!

NannyR · 12/09/2019 20:09

It looks like harewood house to me, we picnic in that exact spot a lot.

Wibblewobble99 · 12/09/2019 20:16

It’s Harewood house!

SpotlessMind · 12/09/2019 20:27

If your son is interested in giant chess then why not google ‘giant chess park Yorkshire’ - it gives you a few ideas, don’t know why you need to know where this specific park is?

No, you don’t have to justify yourself, but surely you can see why people might be cautious when we have no idea who you are, no idea who is in that photo, and slightly vague reason for wanting to identify the location.

ReformedB0t · 12/09/2019 20:31

When the celebrity posted the picture, they didn't post the name of their town with it. That's why I feel sharing would be more exposure than they have given themselves.

OP posts:
GetUpAgain · 12/09/2019 20:34

Wherever it is, its full of dementors, steer clear !!

GoFiguire · 12/09/2019 20:43

I thought they were the police outlines around the bodies.

earlybirdhasanap · 12/09/2019 20:43

It's definitely Harewood house. I was sat right there where the photo was taken last week.

ReformedB0t · 12/09/2019 21:20

I blocked out the 'stickers' added to the image so as not to distract, especially as one was an arrow not related to the chess board. No dead bodies Grin

OP posts:
ReformedB0t · 12/09/2019 21:20

Or dementors. I think.
