To expect chocolate to taste LIKE CHOCOLATE.

Just bit into a Twix, yes yes I know it’s not real chocolate but it’s friggin vile! I used to really enjoy a twix, nibble around the edges before chomping through the lovely caramel bit. It’s just a flavourless strange oily slick stick I could cry out of frustration. Why can’t they bloody leave things alone, I liked the lidl ones at one point then found them too sweet! So annoyed.

As someone who has a lifetime obsession with all things chocolate, I literally hate what Cadburys chocolates are now, so greasy, oily and utterly tasteless. I used to love Wispa, Flakes and Buttons but no more.
My go to now are : Montezuma for buttons which are quite good, Godiva/Lindt for treats every so often and when you want to push the boat out for special occasions (or rubbish days) Neuhaus.

I only buy chocolate from small, local producers now. All the big brands have gone downhill.

National Trust sells the best milk or dark chocolate bars in their shops. Whenever I visit a NT place, I always buy a bar to munch on the way home. The smallest bars are £2.75 but totally worth it, and it's made by an independent chocolatier especially for them.

I’m in Ireland, ALDI over here stocks a brand called Roisin’s which is lovely.

M&S choc is good, especially the Swiss stuff

I don’t like Cadbury’s, HC, or Lindt. I like Tony’s and I had a really nice milk chocolate from Lidl the other day, single bean, high cocoa content.
