..... if Boris ever manages to announce when it is.

Will you stick to your usual Party or vote tactically to ensure the Brexit you believe is best for the country?

OP posts:
Pitterpatterpettysteps · 06/09/2019 22:40

Green

SirJamesTalbotAndHisSpeculum · 06/09/2019 23:04

I think it is getting harder and harder to decide which party/individual to vote for.

Lib Dem. Local Tory MP was one of those to rebel and be thrown out after being sacked from a ministerial post by Boris so if she stands again and splits the traditional Tory vote then the result here is anyone's guess.

Sunshine1239 · 06/09/2019 23:38

I’ll vote Tory as usual

I live in a strong labour area that voted leave

Almost everyone I know normally votes labour but all have switched to Tory due to recent shenanigans

pastaparadise · 06/09/2019 23:44

lib dem

Tory seat, labour and lib dem split the vote usually. Marginally a remain vote here i think so hoping disgruntled labour voters switch to lib dem to get rid of rubbish Tory mp

listsandbudgets · 06/09/2019 23:46

Lib Dem

We live in a Labour stronghold (77% of vote at last election) so my vote will be more a mark of protest than anything...plus I'm a member of the Liberal Democrats and will campaign for them but Grin

Curiositykilledthecat113 · 06/09/2019 23:50

PLEASE if you are not voting out of protest, still go to the poll station and instead of voting draw all over your ballot. It’s considered ‘spoiled’ and they count the number of these ballots as it shows unhappiness in the current choices.

Bahlindah · 07/09/2019 00:10

I can't imagine ever spoiling my ballot, particularly where there isn't a binary choice. There must be a 'least bad' option, surely? Even if it's one of the very small parties.

Gilead · 07/09/2019 00:19

Labour.

Hushabyelullaby · 07/09/2019 00:26

Previous Labour voter, but couldn't vote for them due to their views on Brexit. I will vote Lib Dem for their Remain policy.

OhMyDarling · 07/09/2019 00:32

Tactically- get the tories out and stop Brexit!!!!!!

SteelRiver · 07/09/2019 00:44

Our MP is SNP, but with a tiny majority. I'll never vote SNP, I won't vote Green as they're propping up this useless SNP minority government and they/their leader have some policies I absolutely disagree with. I've always voted Labour but loathe Corbyn. If I thought Labour could win in my constituency, I'd stay with them. Otherwise, it will have to be the LibDems, but I'm still smarting at them shacking up with the awful Tories in 2010. Ugh! What a dismal choice.

Topseyt · 07/09/2019 01:55

Bahlindah, the smaller parties don't set up in every constituency. We only got Conservatives, LibDems, Labour and UKIP for the last few elections.

Topseyt · 07/09/2019 01:58

My least bad option of that lot is the LibDems. I will vote for them both tactically and because of their anti-Brexshit policy.

LadyWithLapdog · 07/09/2019 01:58

Tory seat. I’ll vote LD (not forgiven but there we are).

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 07/09/2019 02:10

Probably Independent if any of them sound sensible when they canvas.

I'm in a very safe seat, and currently very irritated by all the parties so don't really want to vote for any! I might as well try to help somebody get their deposit back.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 07/09/2019 02:13

*canvass

Although it would be much more fun if they turned up with their manifesto of a giant roll of fabric. Grin

EmmaGrundyForPM · 07/09/2019 02:14

I am a Labour party member but will vote tactically.

i live in a die hard Tory seat area. However our MP is Heidi Allen who left the party earlier this year to form the Independent Group. I have no idea if she wil stand again but if she does then she may split the vote.

So I'm not sure who I will vote for but it will be Anyone who has a chance of stopping Brexit

sweetkitty · 07/09/2019 02:16

SNP

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 07/09/2019 02:26

We're in one of the safest Labour seats in England, so it makes zero difference who I vote for. We've never had a non-Labour MP since the founding of the party.

Missangrypants · 07/09/2019 02:51

@emilybrontescorsett

Ha ha ha!

Blair, Thornberry, Corbyn and others didn't think twice avoiding their local state school and instead sending their children to elite schools with entrance tests.

As always in too many instances it is do as I say, not as I do.

As for those saying they will vote Lib Dem. Can't you see that the party's wish to ignore the referendum result, to ignore the views of half of those that were invested enough to vote, in order to remain in the EU is so hypocritical. They party's stance is illiberal and undemocratic.

Missangrypants · 07/09/2019 02:52

Correction. Meant to say Abbot instead of Corbyn.

happinessischocolate · 07/09/2019 06:46

I can't believe the amount of people saying libdems after they got into bed with the tories last time.

Looks like the poor are going to continue to be fucked, more homeless, more food banks , when will people wake up !!!

emilybrontescorsett · 07/09/2019 06:46

missangrypants
What are you talking about?
You have just proved my point.
Those politicians are not conservative.
My question to you is
Do you use the services of the NHS, state schools, public services of any kind?
If so justify why you would vote conservative.
Is the question too hard?

LagunaBubbles · 07/09/2019 06:52

more annoyed that nicola sturgeon is wanting to push through another ‘once in a lifetime’ independence referendum!

This was never an official SNP policy, it was a remark by Alex Salmond. Things have changed significantly since we were told to vote No in 2014 as that was the only way of guaranteeing to stay in the EU, yeh that worked out! So I will be voting SNP.
