and if so, what did you win?

I have never won anything and I have decided to enter more competitions to up my chances. Winning the tiniest thing would probably make my day.

Also, i'm procrastinating :)

Dandelionflower · 04/09/2019 14:45

When I was ten I won a colouring competition. It was for Anchor cream. I won a t-shirt, two cans of squirty cream and arm bands. Very odd selection of prizes!!

ellabella84 · 04/09/2019 14:46

I won bonniest baby in Lincolnshire sometime in the 80’s, I got a mug and a savings account. Nothing since, think I peaked too early.

Time40 · 04/09/2019 15:05

Yes, lots. And I'm also a weirdly and unnaturally lucky gambler.

SilverySurfer · 04/09/2019 15:56

DS aged 3 won a colouring competition. I found out after that he won because the staff thought that his entry was the only one that didn’t have adult help...

snowplop · 04/09/2019 16:11

Some of these are amazing! I think I may have to start comping.

Possibly outing but I won best lemon drizzle in the village show last weekend.

iklboo · 04/09/2019 16:13

I never walk away from a tombola empty handed and I only spend £1 Grin

HelgaHufflepuff76 · 04/09/2019 16:13

I won a hairdressing competition last year! I got a trophy and a spa day for two. I took my mum. X

MatildaTheCat · 04/09/2019 16:14

Yes, a competition I didn’t know I’d entered. The whole family were upgraded from economy to premium economy on flights to Hong Kong. I was so happy.

Various other raffles etc.

Those who really put in a lot of effort can do well but I can’t to beothered. 😊

RavenLG · 04/09/2019 16:15

Only thing I’ve ever won was a hair braiding kit from a magazine competition i entered when I was about 8 Blush

ButterflyOne1 · 04/09/2019 16:17

I enter competitions on my commute into work each day. I enter approximately 30 competitions a day and here's what I've won;

  • Tights
  • Book
  • A framed picture for a childs room
  • Two Buckley bracelets
  • Tickets to All Points East festival
  • Tickets to A Midsummer Nights Dream at The Globe Theatre

All generally small things but I'm still happy.

£250 amazon voucher

A TV set from a chocolate bar instant win. I was a child and threw the wrapper away and a couple of days later told my mum there was a picture of a tv on the inside of my wrapper for some reason. Next time she was in the shop she checked out the bars. Whoops.

How could I nearly forget winning Blackadder on VHS?!

Flamingo84 · 04/09/2019 16:24

moonpiggle · 04/09/2019 17:23

@Lovelydovey thats amazing!

Whitejasmine · 04/09/2019 17:29

with as many cigarettes as i could smoke thrown in

That has got to be a joke surely? As many fags as you could smoke thrown in? Im having visions of jimbalaya cruising around in her convertable mustang, madly puffing one cig after another to get her money's worth!

OtraCosaMariposa · 04/09/2019 17:34

I don't bother any more but used to enter a lot in the early 2000s when the internet was just taking off.

Best prize was two return tickets to anywhere in France and a week's car hire. We had a lovely week with our 1 year old, all we paid for was a week in a gite and a small admin fee to take the baby.

SmallPinkBear · 04/09/2019 17:38

In my first year at uni I won an xbox (when they were brand new), a holiday to Amsterdam and a holiday voucher worth £600 which paid for me a friend to go to Malia for 2 weeks.
Then a few years ago I won a skiing holiday too...

This year I have won a bottle of wine and a couple of other small bits... I enter a few competitions but not loads
