If we have a General Election?

How many of you would vote Labour if we had a General Election, just wondering as there have been a few negative comments on here about Labour recently

OP posts:
jesuschristwtf · 02/09/2019 17:22

I would rather eat a sock that’s rotten than vote for labour. I would vote Tory.

Autumnintheair · 02/09/2019 17:23

Floating voter and wouldn't touch labour with longest pole ever. Even then I've not been inspired by any one waiting in the wings. They all seem oblivious to core voter needs and hold core voters in highest contempt.

I'd be voting tory

Baguetteaboutit · 02/09/2019 17:24

No. I won't vote Labour. I can't stand them and I've had enough of tactical voting. I'm not voting for any of these fuckers.

M3lon · 02/09/2019 17:26

Just imagine if we had proportional representation...then it would be worth voting regardless of where you lived....crazy thinking eh?

Jesaminecollins · 02/09/2019 17:30

I would vote Conservative because Labour will put up taxes and drag our country back to the seventies when the country was brought to its knees by a Labour government (they were ruled by the union parties)

Doesn't anyone remember Corbyn years ago?

M3lon

Your sounding like momentum activist.

It's lacking in imagination to presume that anyone who would consider voting tory hasn't had to rely on the state, or been homeless, or been destitute.

Davianna · 02/09/2019 17:31

Lib Dem. I would never vote Tory, and I’m Jewish so cannot vote Labour under the current leadership...

Sedlescombe · 02/09/2019 17:32

There’s plenty of photos of Thatcher meeting Adams. It was called the Peace Process

Jesaminecollins · 02/09/2019 17:32

My last picture now - haven't people changed over the years

If we have a General Election?
OublietteBravo · 02/09/2019 17:33

I might (my current Labour MP is OK). Or I might vote LibDem. Depends on the platform they campaign on.

ZincOxideEugenol · 02/09/2019 17:34

Never have and never would vote Labour. Unfortunately I live in such a Labour stronghold that there's no point in voting. You could pin a red rosette on a donkey around here and it would get in.

Sedlescombe · 02/09/2019 17:35

Ok so that didn’t work. Still you can google all those photos of the Queen meeting Adams and McGuinness yourselves. 😂

Fredthefrog · 02/09/2019 17:36

I live in a very Jewish area so not planning to vote labour. Will vote Lib dem

Jesaminecollins · 02/09/2019 17:36

@Sedlescombe you need to save the picture to your pinboard first before you post the link

Sedlescombe · 02/09/2019 17:37

Thank you

ThatssomebadhatHarry · 02/09/2019 17:39

I’d vote labour.

Lib Dem’s can’t be trusted especially with Jo Swinson who seems like a fruit loop. They are chancers who will abandon all principles and jump into bed with anyone.

M3lon · 02/09/2019 17:41

autumn that's a fair point. I can't imagine anyone doing that. I mean how do you take money from the state then decide the state shouldn't have supported you?

I'm not a labour supporter, let alone momentum - so don't think badly of them on my behalf!

DisappearingGirl · 02/09/2019 17:57

The conservatives will win a general election. The remain vote is too split across parties to secure a victory for any of them. The majority of leavers will vote for Tory. This is boris’s plan. This is why he wants to prorogue parliament. He will get his majority. It’s sad fucking times.

I think this is spot on, unfortunately. Boris is ruthless and extremely clever, when it comes to the one cause he is passionate about (i.e. the rise and rise of Boris).

MoonageDaydreamz · 02/09/2019 18:00

Not sure why you don't refer to many of the opinion polls held every week OP. Mumsnet is very skewed towards anti-tory and pro-remain voters so won't give you an accurate picture of the national mood.

But since you ask, Conservative.

longwayoff · 02/09/2019 18:01

Tory seat here. Farage aims to put a candidate in every constituency. If it comes to it I'll break the practice of a lifetime and vote Tory to help keep a Brexit candidate out. Hopefully there won't be a Brexit candidate and I can vote LibDem.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 02/09/2019 18:01

Yes to Labour ❤️❤️🙏🙏

Mistlewoeandwhine · 02/09/2019 18:02

And all my friends and everyone I know votes Labour. Also we live in Manchester which is always red.
