If we have a General Election?

How many of you would vote Labour if we had a General Election, just wondering as there have been a few negative comments on here about Labour recently

OP posts:
HirplesWithHaggis · 02/09/2019 14:05

SNP here. Labour are dead in Scotland, and even our Tories are talking about indy from WM. (Just for them, not the whole country.)

hellsbellsmelons · 02/09/2019 14:07

Not while that knob-head is in charge.
Not a chance I'd want him running the country.
I think Lib-Dems will do very well if there is another general election.

Ferretyone · 02/09/2019 14:07

This will be interesting I think as if BJ does not "promise" a no-deal Brexit the Brexit party will put up candidates everywhere. This should split the Tory vote and might allow previously unlikely opposition parties to spring in!

TomHagenMakesMyBosomTremble · 02/09/2019 14:08

Never have & never will vote Labour.

AJPTaylor · 02/09/2019 14:14

Christ knows. Always voted Labour but I couldn't vote for Corbyn. Might cite Lib Dem.

Bluntness100 · 02/09/2019 14:15

No I couldn't vote for Corbyn and labour.

But there are die hard labour supporters, there are a couple on th buy to let thread who seem to genuinely believe he can win, with a good majority, abolish the House of Lords and get legislation in that means people can buy their private rental properties cheap and their landlord will get screwed. Confused

M3lon · 02/09/2019 14:16

I'd vote remain coalition, assuming the arses can actually get their shit together and sort one out.

whattodowith · 02/09/2019 14:17

I would tactically vote so yes, labour. Safe labour seat where I live.

Idontwanttotalk · 02/09/2019 14:21

I thought I would vote for the Brexit party if a GE came before we had left the EU. However, I think I've changed my mind and will now vote for my usual party, the Conservatives.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 02/09/2019 14:21

Have always voted Labour until Corbyn became leader

Will probably vote Libdems

Corbyn won’t stop Brexit anyway people are foolish to think he would even try he has had three years to oppose to this government and come up with an alternative ..... he wanted to trigger Article 50 the day after the referendum 🙄 he can’t wait to get out

ThePallidBustOfPallas · 02/09/2019 14:24

I'd like to say 'anyone who's not the Tory candidate' but I'd struggle with voting for Corbyn. So so so wish someone else was in charge of Labour. So Lib Dem for me. Or Green. But probably Lib Dem. I could not vote Tory under any circumstances - especially now.

Harpingon · 02/09/2019 14:25

Would never vote for labour whilst Corbyn and momentum have power. It would be disaterous for this country.

somanyresusablebags · 02/09/2019 14:26

Lib Dems. I don't trust Corbyn on Brexit. He has given us no reason to trust him.

KennDodd · 02/09/2019 14:28

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat

There is a point in you voting. If parties/candidates receive below a certain percentage of the vote they lose their deposit (£500 I think). The Tories almost never Lose their deposit, this put them in an even better financial position than their rivals. So, even if you know the person you want won't win it's still always worth voting. Number of votes received also translates into TV exposure (there are rules about this) that's why Nigel Farage was on Question Time so much. I'm 50, always vote but have never once in my life voted for the opinion that won ironically with the exception of EU elections because they have a form of PR.

As for who I'll be voting for. Super safe Tory seat, I'll look on the internet and vote for whoever they say has the best chance of ousting them.

EileenAlanna · 02/09/2019 14:28

I've stopped voting for any candidate/Party that doesn't know the difference between a woman & a man. If they're too stupid to manage that then they're too stupid to run a bath never mind a country.

KennDodd · 02/09/2019 14:29

So so so wish someone else was in charge of Labour

Me too.

user1471448556 · 02/09/2019 14:31

Will vote tactically, which will mean voting Labour in my constituency, even though I would like to vote Lib Dem.

ginghambox · 02/09/2019 14:32

Vote labour, I would sooner shit in my hands and clap.
Will be voting Conservative.

VladmirsPoutine · 02/09/2019 14:32

If Labour had even a Pineapple as a leader they would wipe the floor with the Tories. History will not be kind to Corbyn. Why won't he step aside? It really riles me!

ElizaDee · 02/09/2019 14:33

I'll never vote labour in my life.

Silenceissilver · 02/09/2019 14:34

I’d vote Tory as would my entire family plus all my DH’s family.
In my main friendship circle, I’d say probably out of 5:
1 would vote Green, 1 would vote Lib Dems and the other 3 would vote Tory.

A lot of people I’ve spoken to who once would’ve voted Labour have been put off enormously by Corbyn

DontMakeMeShushYou · 02/09/2019 14:37

Difficult.

My heart says LibDem.

But my current Tory MP only has a small majority so voting Labour might be tactical.

StarkintheSouth · 02/09/2019 14:42

I would vote tactically to get Tories out but I shudder at having Corbyn as a PM. Our area is safe Tory as well as being very pro Brexit so my vote would be a drop in the ocean :(

PotteringAlong · 02/09/2019 14:45

No, I’d vote lib dem

pigsDOfly · 02/09/2019 14:45

Never voted Labour in my life and while they have Corbyn at the helm no chance, but if they had a different, better leader I might consider it.

As it is I'll probably vote LibDem.
