How many of you would vote Labour if we had a General Election, just wondering as there have been a few negative comments on here about Labour recently

OP posts:

Anyone but Lib Dem. I can’t in all good conscience vote for a party hell bent on destroying women’s rights

LadyGAgain · 02/09/2019 22:43

It's so tough. Never in a month of Sunday's would I have voted labour but the fact they support no to a no deal Brexit make them (in the short term) attractive. BUT. Hell will freeze over before I allow Corbyn in so it's gotta be Lib Dem's (I am the wrong demographic) or Greens (same).

AliTheMinx · 02/09/2019 23:02

Lib Dems for me. Corbyn needs to go before I'd consider voting Labour again...

HelenaDove · 02/09/2019 23:25

Labour

weegiemum · 02/09/2019 23:33

SNP.

AlexaShutUp · 02/09/2019 23:46

I don't actually know.

I usually vote labour, but have been so disappointed in Corbyn. I agree with a lot (not all) of what he stands for but he has been so ineffective as a party leader and as leader of the opposition. Utterly hopeless on Brexit. Depressingly incompetent (or worse) on the anti-Semitism issue.

I have voted for the Lib Dems previously, and would consider voting for them again, especially as they're very clear on Brexit, but I haven't forgotten that they went into coalition with the Tories previously. Also, they don't stand a chance of getting elected in my area anyway.

I have voted green before too, and might do again as I do agree with a lot of what they say, but again, it feels like a wasted vote around here.

Labour seems like the only viable option to try and keep the Tories (and the Brexit party) out, but it's a depressing choice to have to make. I'd really like to see an electoral pact from the parties opposed to no deal. To me, that seems the only sensible way forward.

StoneofDestiny · 02/09/2019 23:57

SNP

If I was in Scotland it would be this 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Ivgotasecretcanyoukeepit · 02/09/2019 23:58

I would never vote labour.
I am a conservative supporter. I also live in a ‘safe’ conservative seat so it there wouldn’t be any point in voting for anyone else.

maddening · 02/09/2019 23:59

Lib dem for me

StoneofDestiny · 03/09/2019 00:02

If Tory MP's do not show some moral backbone against Johnson's threat they are likely to be destroyed as a party for a long time. If they stick with his anti democratic, threatening behaviour, they will fall together. Johnson's ambition is all personal - he has no genuine interest in the welfare of the people in the UK.

ginghambox · 03/09/2019 00:09

The tories are not going to be wiped out. They will with the help of the brexit party pretty much have a lindeslide

ZenNudist · 03/09/2019 00:10

I will. My MP is good.

AngeloMysterioso · 03/09/2019 00:12

Literally no point in me voting. Like ever. And that pisses me off. We live in such a safe conservative seat that it makes no difference as to who I vote for.

Same. I will always exercise my right to vote because the suffragettes fought and died so I could do it, but where I currently live a non-Tory vote isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. And to make matters worse our MP is Iain Duncan Smith.

NationMcKinley · 03/09/2019 00:20

Fuck knows although never ever Tory.

This is such a bloody mess.

GrimGirl · 03/09/2019 00:25

It won't be Labour and it won't be Conservative that's 100% fact.

Not really sure who will but no way absolutely no way will either of those get my vote.

TerfTalk · 03/09/2019 00:27

I’m voting Tory.

I live in a Labour safe seat, so it won’t make a difference.

Oh, and my local Lib Dem counselor called me a “bigot” on my doorstep. I’ll never vote for them.

Oliversmumsarmy · 03/09/2019 00:27

Could never vote Labour or Lib Dem’s.

Only leaves Conservatives

I cannot stand how we are being drawn into a catch 22 situation.
Not leaving till we have a deal but the EU not giving us a deal till we leave. We are leaving so might as well get on with it.

Just want out Deal or No Deal.

If we had been out in March we would at least know where we stand now not in this limbo land.

AutumnColours9 · 03/09/2019 00:47

I always vote Labour because it aligns most wih my values.

Bahlindah · 03/09/2019 01:43

I'm in a Labour safe seat. Will probably vote Lib Dem. I do not like Corbyn but I would vote Labour if I didn't have the luxury of a protest vote at the moment.

malificent7 · 03/09/2019 03:13

Greens as i think the climate crisis is more pressing than Brexit.
For those of you saying there is no point voting as you live in a safe seat; give your head a wobble ....people DIED for the vote.
Also please vote with your heart not because there is no point voting for the loony party or whatever. If you thing xxxx party resonates with you more...vote for them!

Jesaminecollins · 03/09/2019 03:34

I did vote labour when Tony Blair was in charge and he made a mistake with the Iraq war - so never again.

whatshallIdo1 · 03/09/2019 06:37

I'm in a Labour safe seat. Will probably vote Lib Dem. I do not like Corbyn but I would vote Labour if I didn't have the luxury of a protest vote at the moment.

^ this probably, though I haven’t decided if my protest vote will be Green or Lib Dem.

Dorsetdays · 03/09/2019 06:47

Never have and never will vote Labour.

Will be voting Conservative.

Tippety · 03/09/2019 06:50

If they had a different leader then yes, other than that, nope.

Dogsarebetterthancatsok · 03/09/2019 06:53

Don’t understand people who’d vote llabour under Corbyn. He’s a maniac with a worse one at his side. The fact it’s Momentum actually running the party should scare you all
