To be utterly fed up with the “bitty” reference

My babies 8 month old, in no way is she a grown ass woman asking for boob. If one more person goes oh much longer she’ll be asking for bitty I’m going to scream.

I was planning on breastfeeding till a year but I think I’ll do two just outta spite. Benefits the LO and I can rub my feeding up their wrong side for longer.

That's really inappropriate. Exactly who is saying this? Family and friends or strangers? It would never occur to me to even comment on someone breastfeeding their 8 month old baby.

I would actually call them out when they next say it.

hunsontherun · 01/09/2019 13:44

Soz OP dont want 2 derail ur thread here.

iklboo · 01/09/2019 13:51

Mumsnet doesn't use text speak like that. It's usually only used when someone is taking the piss.

Templetonstunafish · 01/09/2019 13:52

Your class hatered is showing dear. First up against the wall ay.

hunsontherun · 01/09/2019 13:52

Wasnt being ironic. Its how i talk to luvved ones. I say wot I mean + I mean wot I say, but I am never mean - if u c wot I mean Grin

katmarie · 01/09/2019 13:52

The word bitty makes me utterly cringe thanks to that tv show. You're not wrong to find it grim.

hunsontherun · 01/09/2019 13:54

Your class hatered is showing dear. First up against the wall ay

I dont think we should derail this thread any longer TBH.

Sexnotgender · 01/09/2019 13:54

It’s stupid and childish, I’m still BF my 7 month old and hope to do so until at least a year (if the little booger will stop biting!)

If anyone says that to me I’ll tell them where to go.

NannaNoodleman · 01/09/2019 13:55

Fucking hell! The site is full of superior cunts today!

Sorry your post got hijacked by hilarious clever folks with their in jokes, @Wonderland18.

TheQueef · 01/09/2019 13:55

Are you making words Hun or just headbutting the keypad?
I'm having trouble making sense of you.

NewAccount270219 · 01/09/2019 13:57

It is so naff when people quote TV and think they're being funny in the first place - it's even worse here because they're doing it to put you down. Screw them and keep doing whatever you think works best for you and your child.

I h8 that show - esp the bitty stuff. Urgh!

Oakandlove · 01/09/2019 14:09

oh much longer she’ll be asking for bitty, what does that even mean?

Juells · 01/09/2019 14:10

I thought 'bitty' was a word they made up. Was it not? I'd be livid if I was BFing and someone diminished what I was doing by talking about 'bitty'. It's associating it with creepiness as well.

NoSauce · 01/09/2019 14:11

Bitty is grim. Who are these people using this phrase? Would fuck off be appropriate?

TheQueef · 01/09/2019 14:15

I was bf at the height of the shows popularity Sad
I'm quite proud that I didn't eviscerate any of the several pricks who thought they were hilarious.

Readytogogogo · 01/09/2019 14:18

At 8 months old that is ridiculous. Very much still a baby. They're showing their ignorance, try to rise above it.
