Are these shoes hideous?

Sorry, not really an AIBU but I need an opinion! I'm due back at work soon after mat leave and I'm looking for some comfortable work shoes that will last me. It seems my feet have gotten bigger after having DC, and my old ballerinas no longer fit me Hmm

I've found these on Clarks but I'm not sure..

I like them and would definitely wear them except for the fact that Clarks shoes are not wide enough for me!

Fatasfooook · 29/08/2019 00:35

I like them.

maet · 29/08/2019 00:36

They're cute!

MadameJosephine · 29/08/2019 00:36

I’ve got those so I hope they’re not going to get slated. Actually they are really comfy and I think they are nice so I’m not bothered even if they do Smile

managedmis · 29/08/2019 00:37

What if it rains?

BobTheFishermansWife · 29/08/2019 00:37

They're very much fashionable at the moment, personally I'm not keen, the style reminds me too much of school shoes, and I hated them. But if you like them and they are comfy (I guess you haven't tried them on yet, so suggest doing that if you like them) get them, you'll probably rock them if you do.

Suze1621 · 29/08/2019 00:38

Have a plain leather (non patent) pair of these that I have been wearing for work for almost a year - so comfy and hard wearing and I like the look of them too, with trousers or skirt/dress.

Chocmallows · 29/08/2019 00:40

I have them and think they look better in real life. I'm saving as still in summer shoes for now, but looking forward to wearing in work.

mumaw · 29/08/2019 00:41

For those that have them, could you post a pic here so I can see them?

I like the shoes, and have some the same,, but not a biggie price, I bought mine from a hospice charity shop for £3.50. They were brand new.

WaxOnFeckOff · 29/08/2019 01:27

I'd have loved those in 1973 when I was a small child. Now? Not so much, but then I'm now quite old and possibly out of the loop...

WaxOnFeckOff · 29/08/2019 01:28

Oh, I like the new ones that you posted instead, much nicer :) Pair of ankle grazers and you are done.

JacquettaW · 29/08/2019 01:33

The ones you posted second are much better. I love the other ones but I work in a school and several of the students have them so not something I could really wear to work

Weymo · 29/08/2019 01:37

They look like old fashioned disabled shoes.

Wehttam · 29/08/2019 01:39

Awful. Sorry 😐

purplelila2 · 29/08/2019 02:22

I had something similar when I was in primary school......

Idontwanttotalk · 29/08/2019 05:37

They are very comfy - looking but they also look like a young child's shoes.
