Why are we all sweeping this under the carpet...if it was a footballer...a pop star or a tv personality then it would be major news....The BBC has virtually ignored what has happened....whether he is guilty or not..his associate is most definitely....feel so sorry for these young girls

Outsomnia · 24/08/2019 20:47

Sarah Ferguson was a clever woman and left the Firm.

ShirleyPhallus · 24/08/2019 20:48

I think it’s bad enough that it’s going on, but the fact that it seems that the British media aren’t covering it with anything like the vitriol levelled at Meghan and Harry for things like eating avocados and taking flights is really awful

Why are they doing that?

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 24/08/2019 20:50

3 threads just about andrew (4 is you include this one)

And he is mentioned on all the epstien ones as well

Gobbolinocat · 24/08/2019 20:52

Shirley I've seen lots in media about him.

Yy stone of destiny.

Tucobenedicto · 24/08/2019 20:53

OHFLIPPENECK.....But is he subject to the law like everyone else?...I can see this melting away in the background

OP posts:
MoaningMinnie1 · 24/08/2019 20:57

I saw that picture and they just looked like two adult people who were friendly, I don't get what the fuss is about.

It is extremely unfortunate that he was friendly with that Epstein bloke but for all we know, we could all be quite friendly with someone who does awful things and not find out until later.

If I'd been one of Epstein's friends (which I wasn't), nobody would be writing about me and accusing me of all sorts.

Scandal mongering is pointless. If Prince Andrew says he hasn't done anything wrong, why can he not be believed?

Ohflippineck · 24/08/2019 20:59

That is the question of course, Tucobenedicto. He should be, obviously, like everyone else. By the same token, he should also be presumed innocent until proven guilty, like everyone else.
(I don’t like what Ive observed of the man over the decades but would draw the line at calling him a pervert because of a dodgy association which he claims is tenuous. Expect he knows thousands of people, law of averages, some of them will be weirdos).

Tucobenedicto · 24/08/2019 20:59

Has anyone seen the royal correspondent Nicholas witchell on the BBC recently?

OP posts:
Ohflippineck · 24/08/2019 21:00

No but he was reporting for the Today programme this morning.

Tucobenedicto · 24/08/2019 21:00

MOANING MINNIE1...Andrew was in contact with Epstien 2 years after he was convicted

OP posts:
Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 24/08/2019 21:01

He visited epstien AFTER his jail sentence for sex trafficking

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 24/08/2019 21:01

Crosspost

Gobbolinocat · 24/08/2019 21:01

Because a trafficked, groomed girl who was terrified of epstein said she was forced to sleep with him 3 times. And there is a picture of her, with Andrew feeling very comfortable with her, maxwell as always in the background watching.

There is video flight logs etc. He's getting public money and when he was fratinising with Ep he was supposed to be our.... Trade ambassador.

Maybe he was we just didn't know what he was trading in?

Violetparis · 24/08/2019 21:02

He met up with Epstein after Epstein had been convicted on prostitution charges relating to an underage girl. Vile, pigs both of them.

Outsomnia · 24/08/2019 21:03

Guilty as Hell. (IMV)

But I wonder why? He could have had anyone, gay straight male female. Without any publicity.

WTF

Outsomnia · 24/08/2019 21:06

There probably is a lot of dirt under the carpet apart from this in the RF.

Much to gossip about since the truth will never out anyway. Great to be so protected.

Gobbolinocat · 24/08/2019 21:07

Oh yes and he chose to defend him after Ep was convicted saying he would stand by his friend.

colourlessgreenidea · 24/08/2019 21:08

He could have had anyone, gay straight male female.

I don’t think that he could have, to be honest.

The royals don’t tend to have blissfully happy romantic/sexual lives.

JenniR29 · 24/08/2019 21:08

I did comment about him on another thread. He is getting off lightly, I think he hopes people will move on and forget like they did the first time the story circulated a few years ago.

I really hope Epstein’s death doesn’t mean the story gets buried again.

Gruntvsgunt · 24/08/2019 21:09

Getting of what lightly? He hasn’t be charged with anything has he?

Tucobenedicto · 24/08/2019 21:09

The queen had Andrew in her car going to church 2 weeks ago....just the 2 of them...was that the queen putting out a statement and the media bowing to it?

OP posts:
zen1 · 24/08/2019 21:11

He is the Queen’s favourite. As long as she’s around, I don’t think we’ll hear much more on the matter.

This one where I and others have brought it round to PA

And this one

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/3670266-So-Andrew-hosted-Epstein-at-Balmoral

I'm prolific on there too

Not enough though, I agree

Tucobenedicto · 24/08/2019 21:15

Surely there must be someone...a group..who pushed for Saville to be investigated further?..I am not saying it's on the same scale but surely this must go further.

My last post from the most recent thread. Repeating...

He was friends with a convicted paedophile and refused to give up this friendship even after he was jailed for offences. You know a person by the company he keeps. Of course, there is no law against being friends with a paedophile but he was the UK Trade Envoy at the time.

Apparently he was at Epstein's place having foot massages from young Russian girls. And yet MM gets bashed for eating avocados. Hmmmm...

His latest statement treats us like fools. He says he didn't know anything. Funny that. There's footage of him showing a young girl out of the door of Epstein's place.

Andrew expresses "regret" that the person he thought he knew was not "the real person". Errrmmm... maybe his prison sentence should've told him that? It didn't stop him being friendly with Epstein.
