Or is it too close to white?

The red dress is really pretty!

lawnmowingsucks · 21/08/2019 13:50

Don't wear white or off white/cream

It's not complicated

OoohRhubarbLetsGo · 21/08/2019 13:50

My Nan had a tablecloth like that.

The red one is much better.

BIWI · 21/08/2019 13:50

How is that too white or too bridal?! It's actually called 'soft blush' and looks pinky-beige when you zoom in on it. It's not long either, which most brides' dresses are.

I would also say it depends on the colour of the shawl and your accessories. But I'd totally go for it, @Jadefeather7!

When I got married, a gazillion years ago, I was pretty sure that the vicar wouldn't confuse me with any of my guests, and that my DHtobe wouldn't end up marrying the wrong woman!

peachgreen · 21/08/2019 13:50

The red one is fine.

AppleKatie · 21/08/2019 13:52

Wear the red one.

The lace softens the bright colour. If it suits you you'll look great.

Not the white/cream you won’t enjoy the day with all the stares. The bride prob wouldn’t notice.

Sexnotgender · 21/08/2019 13:52

The red is absolutely beautiful. So much nicer than the first one you picked.

Lace is fine as long as it’s not white or ivory obviously. Long is also totally fine.

AprilFernLouise · 21/08/2019 13:53

Sorry I'd say no...the very light colour and laceyness are too close to a wedding dress

justasking111 · 21/08/2019 13:53

Went to a wedding mother of the bride wore cream, no-one batted an eyelid. I would be very disappointed if the bride was wearing it but you no.

Evilspiritgin · 21/08/2019 13:53

I also think you can wear black to a wedding, the chi chi dress in black looks amazing

OtraCosaMariposa · 21/08/2019 13:54

Too white, too lacy.

In another colour it would be fine.

ElleDubloo · 21/08/2019 13:54

General rule of thumb: if you need to ask “Is this dress OK for a wedding?” Then it probably isn’t.

TheBadCop · 21/08/2019 13:54

too bridal. there are thousands of dresses. find another one

Userzzzzz · 21/08/2019 13:55

Far too bridal. People will comment and it looks like you’re trying to upstage the bride.

Jadefeather7 · 21/08/2019 13:55

I will go with the red one to be on the safe side. Now and I need to see if my sister will lend me some accessories to match!

Oh and get the red one. Much, much nicer.

MaxiPaddy · 21/08/2019 13:58

loobyloo,

Two words:

Pippa.Middleton.

ElizaDee · 21/08/2019 13:58

I wouldn't wear that to a wedding. Pick from the hundreds of other colours there are. Plenty will go with cream accessories.

SunnyIn · 21/08/2019 13:59

You could not get a more bridal looking dress if you tried

Yes you absolutely could. The only thing bridal about it is that it sort of looks white (but it isn't) and is a bit lacy.

It's 100% not going to be mistaken for a wedding dress or upstage a bride for godsake.

EmeraldShamrock · 21/08/2019 14:03

Maybe not. It is a lovely dress but could end up looking similar to the brides dress. Blush

Mummyoflittledragon · 21/08/2019 14:06

Contrasting colours also fine... Your accessories, which went with the blush dress may be really nice.

Derbee · 21/08/2019 14:06

Too light and lacy. Potential to look bridal. Find something else.

tomatostottie · 21/08/2019 14:06

No don't wear it. The red is much nicer as is the blue.
Never mind the fact it does look a bit too much like a less formal wedding dress.

Aprillygirl · 21/08/2019 14:07

Yes you absolutely could. The only thing bridal about it is that it sort of looks white (but it isn't) and is a bit lacy.

You think that dress is a BIT lacy? Seriously?

LollyBmummy3 · 21/08/2019 14:07

I think it’s too bridal! I like the one that twotiny suggested.
