Mine is a father throwing a drink in his daughter's face. She was about six and had knocked it over after he had queued to get it.

A father holding his 2/3 year old on the edge of the swimming pool while the boy peed into the pool like a toilet. Pants down no shame like it was the most normal thing in the world.

At a hotel pool in Marbella there was a rule stating that there was no inflatable pool toys allowed in the pool, it wasn't followed by everyone and I noticed people were allowed to bring in toys as long as they didn't cause a fuss or take up to much space. I have to say I joined in and brought a big rubber ring for DD to play around with.

It was all good going for about an hour, I was floating along in the pool with DD and our ring was somewhere behind us. All of a sudden I hear a noticeable squeaking and I turn around to see this austere block of a German woman grappling with my ring. I swim over and say that's my ring, she gives me a smile and apologises before swimming away. Then after she's gone I notice a few thumb sized holes in to the part of the ring she was messing with. I was pissed, but I didn't know if I could really report her as inflatables weren't allowed in the pool in the first place.

This is awful!
On a beach in Spain I once watched a woman remove a used tampon, bury it in the sand and insert another! She wasn't being discrete and it was a busy beach! Yuk!

@BigcatLittlecat omg 😳

A woman swimming topless in the pool was annoying the drunk woman sat at the next sun lounger to me. Every time the topless woman strode past to go to her lounger this woman kept muttering horrible remarks and shouting at her husband not to look. It ended with the two women having a huge stand up argument. The drunk woman was calling her shameless, and attention seeking etc. The husbands kept silent. Grin

In St Paul’s in the Vatican a couple of years ago my friend who had lost her mother only a month earlier was kneeling at an altar praying. I left her in peace for a while - when I returned to bring her to mass I find an American bloke saying to his wife - Just move her to the side honey I can’t get the shot 😮😮

I would like to cause actual pain and harm to people who treat children that way.
I once saw a man, pissed at a loud bar in Greece with his young (18months maybe) child crying in his pushchair - it was about 1am. The man was screaming at his child to shut up. Fucking cunt.

I went to London with the kids, all the locals seemed perfectly happy to knock my pregnant wife and 8 and 9 year old as they rushed past in their self importance on the tube / buses / pavements / shops etc.

Flight home from San Francisco - about half way through the 11 hours I noticed the guy in the seat behind had become a bit animated and was kicking my seat back a few times. I was peeved but not too bothered.

After we landed everyone was getting ready to get off - he was slumped in his seat still. The flight crew found an empty vodka bottle in a duty free carrier bag on the floor by his seat - they were mortified they hadn't noticed him drinking it. Once he'd fallen asleep after the kicking he was no bother, mind you.

Still don't know if/when he got off the plane.

You shouldn't have been swimming when drunk anyway :)

Good God some of these are horrific.

Mine is just a bit sad. We used to live in Asia and were on holiday somewhere in Laos I think. Went for dinner in the hotel restaurant and noticed a table set up for a large group of about 12 or so. One young Asian guy appears in a suit that was a bit big on him. He had some bunches of flowers which he put at certain places at the table. One bunch of red roses. And he kept checking everything with the waiters and making sure it was all perfect. He finally sat at the table. And kept looking at his watch. And sitting. And sitting. Nobody came. He sat there for about two hours. I felt so sorry for him. I wondered if he was trying to impress a girl’s family or something.

These are shocking!
When I was 22 I went to LA with my boyfriend.
We were staying outside the city in a motel.
We were sitting around the pool, it was just us and an Italian family, with 2 teenage girls.
Behind the pool was just trees and bushes and then a road.
I happened to look up and saw a bloke crawling through the bushes, he stopped and stayed lying down. He was staring at the teens and had a gun in his hand.
I whispered to my boyfriend and looked across at the family, the woman nodded at me that she had seen him too.
I got up and I said to my bf I was going to get a drink and walked back into the hotel. I told reception who phoned the police but he ran off when he saw me go into the hotel.
A few hours later when we were leaving to go out I saw him standing at the bus stop across the road, the police came and he was arrested.

The people on reception didn't look overly surprised tbh.

In Italy I was sitting at a beach bar while DH and DS were in the sea. About 12 feet away were a couple in their 50s sunbathing. They were in my direct line of vision. Next thing he had his hand down her bikini bottoms giving her ‘a good time’, while staring nonchalantly out to sea. I looked away but every time I glanced back he was still at it. He then put his hand down her bikini top which she slapped away, so he continued on her bottom half. After awhile she got fed up and turned on her front and gyrated on the sand. They left shortly after. Can think why! Blush

vampirethriller · 21/08/2019 14:18

I went to Salou with a friend and his mother, who I didn't know very well. Turned out she was a swinger and spent most of the time in bed with the two brothers who were in the room next door to ours. Even better, one of the brothers had his 4 year old son with him, who ended up with me because they were asleep all day.
My friend would go out every night and get very drunk while I was left in our room with the little boy! I did try to stop them but when people are already drunk and in bed with each other it's not like you can just leave a child there!!

As a former longterm Londoner, might I suggest there's more to this? I lived in London while I was pregnant, and was never 'knocked' by anyone and I almost never had to ask for a seat on the tube throughout my pregnancy and although I no longer live there, I visit frequently with my now seven year old, no one has ever 'knocked' him, either. I do, however, have to remind him not to stand around at the bottom of escalators, and to step aside from hurrying people on busy streets, as he's used to a slower pace of life.

Hollanda40 · 21/08/2019 14:31

Some of these posts make me wonder why people have children if they're prepared to treat them like garbage. 😕😢

Bodrum, about 10yrs ago.
Sat at the side of the hotel pool with DS, DD1 & 2.

Boy of around 5 gets out of the pool and says to his DM "I need the toilet!".
She said "Why didn't you just do it in the pool like everyone else?" Hmm
Her question was answered when the boy pulled down his shorts and proceeded to shit on the tiles, in full view of everybody.

The mother got him by the hand, grabbed her bags and hurried off to notify staff - or so I thought.
My mistake...she'd just moved to the other end of the pool to get away from the offending turd, her feral DS was straight back in the water without being wiped or cleaned, and the baking shit left where we sat.

CaptainMyCaptain · 21/08/2019 14:38

I've been to Marmaris and it was lovely. Our hotel was a water taxi ride away across the bay from the main town though.

nonsenceagain · 21/08/2019 14:41

Can you not see the problem with saying 'not all Irish people are like this', but also that they were probably travellers? Double standards Hmm

I was on holiday in Spain.
Went into a communal office to see a holiday rep.
Another rep says thats her desk take a seat and she will be here soon.

While waiting another holiday maker walks in and asks to speak to the same rep we are waiting for.
She is told we are first in the queu so to come back later .

The lady goes and waits outside and I can see her through the window. The rep appears and this lady approaches her and they come into the office together.

When the rep sees us sitting at her desk she says Oh....the lady then says you will have to move I need to speak to the rep in private....I say no we were her first. She stomps off out in a huff .

Ive got a few

When i was 18 I went on holiday with my parents, siblings and 1 brother in law. I was sharing a room with my parents and my siblings & BIL were in the next room.

My parents decided to go for a drink in the evening so the rest of us went up to our rooms. The phone in my room started ringing & when i answered it a foreign man asked me "do you like to party" because of the accent i initually assumed it was my dad just having a laugh. It wasnt until the man started speaking more i realised it was the pervy man on reception ( he had spoke to me a few times and made me feel uncomfortable, asking me the same if i like to party, drink ect )

I was that frightened i put the phone down and tried to ring my mum. She wasnt answering and i was very frightened so in my 18 year old mind i just wanted to find my mum. I carried on ringing her and ran to the elevaror and then got to reception where my mum was..... she had just started talking to the man who had just rang me. She asked me what was wrong but i couldnt tell her

She took me over to a table where my dad was and i explained, then the man came over, asked my parents if theyd like a drink & asked me if i would like a fanta or a coke! Im very petite and have always looked young for my age

Writing it down it seems a bit unbelivable but it did happen

Another time when i was on holiday with just my dad ( 18 again ) we were sat on the plane home and had 1 or 2 seats between us, a 40 ish year old man came over and started trying to flirt with me. He asked for my number and id said i had a boyfriend n he went and got a pen n paper from a stewardess and wrote his number down and gave it to me.... to this day im still annoyed that my dad ( i told this man he was my dad ) could clearly see that i was uncomfortable yet did nothing to make the man go away

Last one

I was on holiday in wales with my sister, bil and children and there was a full on family brawl outside the entertainment bit. A woman with a baby in a pram walked into the middle of the chaos, started kicking off herself and her pram got knocked over in the process. There was about 20 people involved in a mass brawl and it was really scary to watch. Security kicked them all off the site pronto and one of the people were complaining because theyd only arrived yesterday and they fight like this all the time 🤦‍♀️

@FixTheBone 😂 I wouldn’t recommend a trip to NYC, Tokyo or any other major city if you consider that millions of people trying to earn a living and get back to their families is rude. In Tokyo the staff push you onto the train to get as many people on as they can. Smile

CactusBee · 21/08/2019 15:25

On a flight to Spain, a guy in his mid twenties and an older woman (maybe late 50’s) were seated together in the row behind us (they didn’t know each other). They started to chat and he told her all about how his wife and young daughter would be waiting for him at the other end of the flight. Then he pulled out a litre bottle of vodka and offered the woman some. Before long they were absolutely wasted and snogging 😱 with hands all over each other. Then the woman’s daughter (again, maybe mid twenties like the man) emerged from the back of the plane to ask her mum if she was ok 😂 the daughter looked pretty shocked by it all, but eventually went back to her seat. The unlikely couple continued drinking and getting louder and louder, then had a massive row about something or other and stopped talking to each other.

Staff eventually confiscated the vodka but they were so drunk by then it hardly mattered.

When the plane landed the woman made a huge scene, demanding to be let off the plane first as she was disabled (the daughter then joined in, shouting at the cabin crew). The guy was just slumped in his seat and had to be helped off the plane. We never got to see his reunion with his wife and daughter unfortunately!

All in all it was a very entertaining flight 😂
