Re: I had sex just before my period and just over a week and a half after my period. How 2 weeks after my period I’m spotting this never happens?? Has anyone ever had the same issue and does it mean I could be pregnant I’m so worried. Thanks

Update: 6th day late, now got bleeding light not enough to fill a panty liner only comes out when I wipe and it’s bright pinkish orange??? I’ve had all other tests done recently no infections so can’t be down to infections anyone experienced the same thing??

It’s probably your period.
When was your last period and when did you have sex exactly?

Silvercatowner · 18/08/2019 18:48

I was going to click the 'unreasonable' button but noticed you are 16 - is there anyone there who you can talk to? If I was your Mum I would want to know.

IsobelRae23 · 18/08/2019 18:50

Have you done a pregnancy test?

Twillow · 18/08/2019 18:57

Not to worry you, as its easily treated with antibiotics, but your symptoms do sound like those of chlamydia - stomach cramps, bleeding between periods. Symptoms usually start 1-3 weeks after infection so this might fit in with your sexual history too.

Don't let this ruin your holiday though, as whatever it might be - and it might not even be anything - can be dealt with via a visit to a clinic or doctor as soon as you can when you get home. Can you confide in your mum or a sister/aunt?

GookledyGobb · 18/08/2019 19:01

Hi,

You need to rule out pregnancy, and if not that, you should see your gp. Can you get to a willow/Poundland for a pregnancy test?
Can you talk to your mum/aunt/etc for advice and support?

GookledyGobb · 18/08/2019 19:02

Us mums have all been 16, and none of us would want you to go without support. Including your own mum I’m sure. X

bambalaya · 18/08/2019 19:04

At your age, menstruation cabofteb be irregular. Often, mid cycle bleeding can be caused by ovulation. I get this every month, sometimes only 1 week after my period, and have never been pregnant nor had an STD. Confide in a female relative if you can and try not to worry

ElizaDee · 18/08/2019 19:52

I've read several variations of this before. That poster was also 16.

And what's with the edits and private posts?

Silvercatowner · 19/08/2019 09:05

And what's with the edits and private posts

What edits and private posts??

I'd rather risk responding to a troll than risk a vulnerable 16 year old going unsupported.

YouOkHunz · 19/08/2019 09:56

Sounds like she has posted elsewhere and copied any pasted with the "private posts and updates" etc

1234Kizza · 19/08/2019 10:38

That’s because I had posted it on mums worldwide on Facebook. Why would I be a troll I’ve come on here for advice not for people like you to insult me

I posted this on mums worldwide that’s why it could be mine or might not

That's what my implantation bleeding was like for my DD OP, so you may be too early for a positive pregnancy test. I'd go see a GP if you can.

Joopy · 19/08/2019 10:44

Where are you on holiday (abroad or UK) can you get to a chemist?
Stress sometimes causes periods to be late.
Did you have unprotected sex? Please use condoms next time.

1234Kizza · 19/08/2019 12:21

Hi I’m actually on my way home. The bleeding got slightly heavier but the cramps are horrendous. I didn’t use protection usually my periods are every 28 days never late and they are never this painful they also usually have clots which with this bleeding there are no clots

OP posts:
1234Kizza · 19/08/2019 12:22

The cramps are that bad that I actually have been sick from the pain where I have to sit on the toilet and push as it feels like mini contractions

I find grandmothers the best to talk to... good luck

Smilingthru · 19/08/2019 13:03

Oh bless u. Can u talk to anyone? A family member, friend or maybe a friends mum?

It could just be a weird period but could also be something else. Try and get someone to talk it they with x

FireBloodAndIce · 19/08/2019 13:54

Might be best to see your GP if this is abnormal for you and you feel really ill. I'd recommend a pregnancy test and STD check too though GP may do that.

Ulverstonian · 19/08/2019 14:03

My periods are usually very regular. It was 5 days late last month for no apparent reason. The only thing I can think of is the stress of a house move.

As others have said, we can’t diagnose you over the Internet. It may just be an unusual period. Try not to stress, everything is fixable. Take a pregnancy test, you’ll get the results in minutes. If it’s positive you should go to your doctor or a family planning clinic to discuss your options. If it’s negative then again go to your doctor or family planning clinic for STD tests - they are all treatable with antibiotics.

There are lots of professionals who can help you for free, if you access the help.

1234Kizza · 20/08/2019 22:24

I’ve already had my std checks I’m clean

OP posts:
cockcrowfarm · 21/08/2019 13:07

It sounds like you might need them checked again, you have had unprotected sex since the last check, right? The test is only goid until you have unprotected sex, then you have exposed yourself to risk again.

berlinbabylon · 21/08/2019 13:12

Just to say that unfortunately this may be a change in pattern of periods for you. When mine started they were very easy and light and only lasted about 4 days. Later they started being heavy, clotty and painful and they've been that way ever since (not so painful, just clotty and heavy now and last for days and days).

You need to go to a clinic for confidential help if you don't want to/can't confide in an older friend or relative.

Boom45 · 21/08/2019 13:30

My periods are always pretty regular and follow the same pattern, the one thing that messes with them is travelling - for some reason holidays always make mine go a bit wonky. Get home and take a test, it could be the stress and the travel that's messing with you - especially at your age when your cycle is still young.
Take care of yourself, it sounds like a late period to me so hopefully once you've taken a test you will be able to stop worrying.

Twillow · 21/08/2019 21:19

As the previous poster said, the std checks are only valid if you haven't had any possibly infectious partner since. You simply need to ask a doctor or clinic for advice, it's their full-time job - rather than strangers on the internet.
Why have you had std checks already as you are so young?
