AIBU to be annoyed with dh?

He has taken dc to captain candy in Dubrovnik Croatia which is essentially a pick n mix place. He bought three bags of sweets and it came to £99.

The price is unclear and it is a tourist trap.

If anyone goes to captain candy please avoid.

I went to a Lindt outlet recently and in the queue were a family deciding if £280 of Lindt pick and mix was too much (they did get discount too!)

Reminds me of a time in Nice when we purchased 3 rather funky looking tomatoes in the market.. yes they were large, unusual colours and weird shapes... but €15!!!...too embarrassing to say no so just handed over the cash!!

I once got DS sweets at legoland to make up for not getting on any rides as it was stupidly busy. Think they were £6. Felt crap and massively ripped off. But now they look really cheap

That shop must rely on embarrassment/not wanting to cause a fuss to get away with it. Awful.

Came off thread after posting earlier and just came back on. Funnily enough I can now see all the photos, but I could only see the receipt before!!

A few years ago I got stung at a 'continental market' in the city centre. First mistake was stopping & looking at some sugary pecans, second mistake was taking the sample, third mistake was asking for a small bag - he shovelled some into the bag, & said £10! I made him take some out & still paid £6 for about 8 pecans. I felt like I had been mugged. He was so nasty. Never again.

omg I can see pictures now. There is no way that is 3K of sweets at £3 p 100g. There is 200gs in each bag at most. What a rip off!

I’d be very tempted to weigh them to see how much you actually bought for that stupid price. I appreciate you probably didn’t pack your scales for your holiday though

Go to Krakow instead... we almost managed to come back with more money than we took.

Did your pack your luggage scales OP? If so, weigh the sweets just as a matter of interest. It won’t help your cause as they’ll just say you ate some, but it would be interesting to know. It looks like around 1kg max to me.

There’s no point harassing the OP about the glitch with her photos. She doesn’t manage the board software. Venture away from AIBU (for once) and go onto Site Stuff and report it. If enough people do, the tech admins might do something about it.
