I don’t like anything on it. It’s a winter wedding, but l just don’t want to spend a load l haven’t got!

Well if you don't like anything that seems like a bit of a problem doesn't it?

Lumene · 14/08/2019 18:33

YANBU but is the supply line ethical?!?

hsegfiugseskufh · 14/08/2019 18:37

Why are you asking then?

lumeme i think theyre ex high st stuff mostly

Cornettoninja · 14/08/2019 18:39

Used outfit from eBay or charity shop? Ticks a lot of environmental boxes and you’ll probably get something much better quality. You’ve loads of time for bargain hunting,

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 14/08/2019 18:40

I’m asking, because l got bored of going through 135 pages of dresses, and the search facility is rubbish.

I also wanted to know if it was feasible, and it seems it is, so I’ve had another look at it!

What size
And what sort of style
And colours ?
I’ve just bought a dress from Debenhams online sale for
£11.50 for a funeral but it’s a wedding type dress I’d say

Thanks Joan didn’t know that!

IAskTooManyQuestions · 14/08/2019 18:45

That's a bit lively for a funeral

OldPodge · 14/08/2019 18:48

I bought an outfit for a wedding last year, all from e bay and charity shops. Think I did spend more than a fiver though. It was really good quality. Not worn any of it since and will recycle again.

QOD · 14/08/2019 18:49

It is unless it was the wish of the deceased for us all to wear something bright cheerful and colourful to celebrate her life
I will be accessorising it with a full length navy blue leg brace and crutches as I’ve broken my knee. So that’ll tone it down ...
I do get it, but she was 31 with young kids and took a while to die. Her wish is my command

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 14/08/2019 18:51

Are they wedding guest dresses though?

Wait a few months maybe? It’s still summer so a bit early for winter outfits just yet

gowgow · 14/08/2019 19:13

Try Amazon, they have a lot of cheap dresses.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 14/08/2019 21:55

Will try Amazon

try pretty little thing, they have loads of dresses on there and their basic range starts from a fiver

BiBiBirdie · 14/08/2019 22:45

I bought a dress for DHs 50th
Everyone complimented it, asked if it was vintage, said it looked really expensive.
It was £1.50 from my local second hand shop.
I tried Everything £5 and found that there was issues with it all, find it's a bit like the shops QS back in the day where they would sell ex shop and catalogue stuff that had defaults. It's also not great for bigger girls either, the sizing is awful.
Charity stores are your best bet for an inexpensive outfit, especially at this time of year. They're all savvy to wedding season these days and a lot of them keep bits by for this time of year.

Snowflake9 · 14/08/2019 22:50

Boohoo, you can filter by price and size really easily. ..I also love everything 5 pounds, but agree the search can be tedious. I always buy my shoes from there though!

Hellywelly10 · 14/08/2019 22:52

Its very hit and miss tbh and has alot more stock in very small sizes.

IDontDrinkTea · 14/08/2019 22:53

I buy from this website loads Grin when they arrive, they’re all clothes with new look, primark, h&m, Sainsburys etc labels in.

I appreciate the website is tedious and the returns process isn’t worth the bother but if you can be patient with the website it is worth it
