We had a cat. She disliked us from the first day - she would attack us and was very growely. Anyway, she tollerated us for about 2 years and then moved in with someone else on the next street.

After 2 years they brought her back to us because she had been hit by a car and they didn't want to pay the vet bill - literally brought us an injured cat! She had to have her back leg amputated but we paid the bill and nursed her back to health. She would still attack us and kept trying to go back to the other owners.

I got married just before her accident so she came to live with me rather than my parents about 8 miles away. She tollerated me and my husband for about 18 months, still regularly attacking us. Then she moved out again and in with someone else 2 roads away. She used to walk up and down the queue at the bus stop each morning rubbing round other people but ignored me the whole time.

When we moved she stayed with her new owners.

The only time she was ever nice to any of us was when we had a takeaway curry! Then she couldn't get enough of us...to get to the curry!

A mosquito - which is NOT my pet, but every time I turn my bedside lamp off it decides it loves me and needs to sit on my ear. Turn lamp back on, it buzzes off, dog decides its playtime and jumps on bed, lamp off again, dog returns to his bed, mosquito comes back to sit on my ear. Lamp on, mozzie gone, dog back...

Oh for fuck fuckety fucks sake!! This is not funny anymore!!

Be gone, dogs and mosquitoes, to hell with you all and never tarnish my boudoir with your presence ever again!!!!

(Well, maybe the dog can stay...but ON HIS BED, not mine!! Baaahhh!!)

Tellmetruth4 · 12/08/2019 22:41

Wasn’t mine but I house and kitten sat for a friend for a week. I was so excited as I was still living with my parents at the time. It was genuinely one of the worst things I’ve ever agreed to.

The kitten was a fucking psycho. He attacked me day and night. Once I saw a mirror reflection of him creeping up behind me to attack. He once jumped off the top of the sofa, mouth wide open and claws out to scratch me up. He acted like I was prey. He made me cry every day. I was miserable there. I had to eat and sit in the bedroom every day as I was terrified of being stalked and attacked. I couldn’t wait to go back to my parents.

Nits. 😁

altiara · 12/08/2019 22:57

@CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre Grin those are uninvited guests 😱

My cat is evil. She hates me so much she left an old claw in my hand yesterday when I tried to stroke her. I had to get a dog so to stop my kids being scared of animals!

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre · 12/08/2019 23:00

Altiara I've trained them to perform, it's like a low budget flea circus.

Comps83 · 12/08/2019 23:02

Little dwarf rabbit
Evil personified
Used to growl, sexually assault the cats and you didn’t even need to go near it to be attacked it would come looking for you. Still got scars

Inappropriatefemale · 12/08/2019 23:06

I had a python once and I had a cat once, the cat went missing at the same time my snake escaped and then she didn’t want lunch that month...Grin

Helpies · 12/08/2019 23:09

A pair of chinchillas.

As a child

They wouldn't be handled. Made so much noise. We're a pain to clean out then one killed the other whilst we were at school.

Lovely.

SuperFurryDoggy · 12/08/2019 23:17

The school chick. Little bastard died within 24 hours of bringing it home. Had to stage and photograph a funeral so an entire Reception class could get closure.

A friend’s hand-reared cockerel. Followed her around like a puppy until she had to unexpectedly move house and he came to live with us. Went completely psycho over-protective as soon as we put him with our hens. We were all terrified of him and had to use leather gauntlets and a homemade shield to get anywhere near him or the hens. Scratched so hard he would bruises my shins through my neoprene muck boots. Sent him to live on another friend’s smallholding in the end. I was quite prepared to chop off his head and cook him if that option hadn’t worked out.

Emptyspacex · 12/08/2019 23:36

3 ducks, they're so messy!!

Lillyhatesjaz · 12/08/2019 23:43

My DD had a big tank of random snails from the garden that lived in her room for months. She eventually got fed up with them so we rehomed them to the compost bin.

madcatladyforever · 12/08/2019 23:49

This 18 year old shitty bites menace. I don't know how I stuck 18 years of this. Sorry I know my PJS don't match.

Cats. I'm much more of a dog person. Have a cat currently (ex husband left him with me) - he's been with me for years - and I love him dearly, but he's the most annoying creature to have walked God's earth Grin

TwoPupsandaHamster · 12/08/2019 23:50

The Hamster... nasty, bitey fucker he was! I won't ever get another hamster!

My dogs are the best! At least they are trainable

Honeybingbong · 12/08/2019 23:51

Budgie !!!! Horrible, noisy and messy. It hated me even though I was the only one who fed/watered and cleaned it out. It used to stare at me and hiss. My gran had one that tweeted all lovely but the little shit I got did nothing but scream. I rehomed him to a lovely, crazy, bird lady while the kids were at school. I told them he flew away with a little red robin.

I’ve rescued and raised dozens of hamsters and a bitey hamster (long-term) is indicative of one who isn’t having their needs met. Taming takes time and patience. They’re extremely complex creatures.

A lot of these posts sound like the result of irresponsible/uninformed pet guardians rather than faults of the animals.

RedHatsDoNotSuitMe · 13/08/2019 00:06

why are all posters not agog and Shock Shock Shock that one PP had a pet tiger and another had a fucking elephant???????

My current worst ever pet is DDog. A monster. Luckily for her, she is very pretty. Almost award-winning.

Stompythedinosaur · 13/08/2019 00:12

A rehomed rat who bit a lot. I have had many rats over the years and they are generally great pets, but this one had clear had bed previous experiences. I kept him for 3 years until he passed naturally and I think he had as good a life as possible. But I still have the scars on my hands!

Skittlenommer · 13/08/2019 00:12

Truth!! Grin

Shalligo · 13/08/2019 00:24

We ran a pub/bistro for a while, out in the country, which came with its own ginger Tom. He was huge, friendly, and purred like a motorbike. And being a country cat, liked killing stuff and bringing it home, usually alive, just, and without fail, during service hours. He dragged a pigeon, one wing still going, right up to the bar on the busiest Saturday of the year. We had to get wise to his route home and intercept him before he made it to the customers with whatever victim the day had produced. And I swear he knew.

Namechange55 · 13/08/2019 00:28

The hamsters I had as a child. Noisy, smelly and they caused chaos when escaped a few times. One made a huge hole in my mums mattress Grin

Postmissposte · 13/08/2019 00:30

I had a rescue pug that shagged legs while. wearing a disturbing sex-face

helpmeiamatoad · 13/08/2019 00:46

Rabbit. She was gorgeous, loving and I adored her. But she completely tore up the house. Lost most of our deposit when we moved out.
