To wonder how KFC are still in business?

Me and dh were really hungry and tired and saw a KFC and bought a bucket special. I like the occasional McDonald's, but the KFC was just not very nice, especially the fries, which were inedible. I so wish I'd not bothered.

Reading this thread I genuinely can’t remember the last time I had KFC. I do like it but always feel gross after eating it so don’t know why I bother. It’s never as good as I think it will be.

I have actually had food poisoning from there years ago, didn’t taste too good coming up

I’m not sure if we’ve got the new chips here in Australia, haven’t seen an ad or anything. We’ve always had plain gravy and potato and gravy though, no spicy rice.

God it's rank. I've only eaten KFC once in my life and it was horrible. I've been in there since while waiting for others ordering there and even the smell is offputting

our local is hit and miss, can be lovely and tasty one time and bland and greasy the next. I've never been keen on the fries and havnt been near the place for about 6 months since my neighbour was hospitalized with food poisoning after a meal there put me off somewhat!

Haven't eaten KFC in ages as their chips were always soggy. How can they possibly have made them even worse?
Sigh. We used to have a local family run piri piri chicken shop. It knocked KFC out of the park. Then the owner died and it all went to pot. Boy I miss them.

I love their burritos...oh wait, they stopped them 🙄🙄

Their parent company has politics I can't support so KFC is off my list of places to go.

Love KFC but ite got to be freshly cooked - so need to buy at busy places. Much prefer the new chips

I boycott KFC because I can only imagine what those chickens go through before they become KFC meat.

Much as I loved the flavour of it when I used to eat KFC.

I do like KFC, especially the hot wings. The chips are unrelentingly awful and always have been.

KFC is rank, I ate it years ago, during the anti KFC time I think it was Pamela Anderson, I saw to many horrible chicken farms. It is like marmite.
I enjoy fast food, I'll have a McDonald's I dont read about the bad bits.

Tried it once years ago and all I can remember is it being greasy. Definitely wouldn't buy now as only eat free range meat

KFC have succumbed to the sugar tax and no longer sell anything full fat. I'm allergic to aspartame but I can have water or a pure orange (40p) more.
So I cant have a full fat drink but I can happily order greasy chicken and lots of fattening ice cream and the like.

It'll be good or bad depending on which place you go to. My local KFC is fine, as is one we went to on holiday. I've not been to all of them so couldn't say.

My local McD is fine, the one in the next town over was dire until it got refurbished when someone new took over the franchise.

It's always been rank. I've never understood how they can ONLY sell chicken, and still sell the cheapest most vile chicken.

The one near us was shut down after insect infestations were found in the kitchen. Says it all really.

It can be a bit hit and miss, but when it hits, it's amazing.

I had one once and it was so disgusting: greasy, tasteless and just horrid. Plus cheap meat. Wouldn’t touch the stuff. But then people eat all sorts of rubbish, so not that surprised, no.

Not for long. This is company wide. I went to both our local ones. Initially they charged extra, now they are not selling it at all.

Hate the new chips, love the new mash with the gravy ... next stop deliveroo

I love a zinger burger and some of the sharing boneless things are fab too.

I think you'll find all the fat is in the chicken and chips. Seriously, I agree and I boycott any drink which contains sweeteners. Waitrose sell a lemonade which I'm stockpiling since I can see that going the way of everything else. By the time I've checked for sweeteners and palm oil which I also boycott, shopping is turning into a marathon event.
