Just that really...

He didn’t stand to gain anything by outing others

I doubt that it's him the others are worried about.....think honour amongst thieves..... he wouldn't have taken anyone down with him. There are lots of powerful people who do not want this going to court where the victims and other witness's get to tell their stories.

ssd · 10/08/2019 22:11

I think he knew too much about Prince Andrew, trump can fudge anything and we're used to seeing him in sticky situations, but to try to involve Andrew in anything just won't be tolerated.
This will be allowed to blow over, brexit will take over again as the talking point.
I read somewhere Trump was invited over to meet the Queen only because the British were trying to smooth Andrew's path back into the USA. I noticed how Andrew was in the news talking about trade etc once trump had been here.

ssd · 10/08/2019 22:13

We'll get told what they allow us to be told.

ssd · 10/08/2019 22:16

BBC news are focusing on his relationship with Trump, hardly a mention of Andrew.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 10/08/2019 22:19

I read that he was no longer on suicide watch

That was very convenient for many considering recent reports that he had tried or had been attacked

Banangana · 10/08/2019 22:25

That was very convenient for many considering recent reports that he had tried or had been attacked

And he'd apparently told people that someone had tried to kill him after the first 'attempt'.

OliveToboogie · 10/08/2019 22:31

He was silenced by powers at top. He knew too much now our disgusting Prince Randy Andy will not be brought to justice. Wish DOY would stop her snivelling about what a good man he is. He is a disgusting child molester well documented

ssd · 10/08/2019 22:32

I feel so sorry for the girls involved who will never see justice now. Any investigation will be a whitewash.

ssd · 10/08/2019 22:36

This thread will be deleted. Any criticism of Andrew will not be tolerated. Mark my words.

ssd · 10/08/2019 22:38

In fact he'll probably remarry fergie next year, convince us all he's such a great family man.

isabellerossignol · 10/08/2019 22:41

I'm usually someone who rolls my eyes at conspiracy theories but in this case...

His group of 'friends' wouldn't have wanted this to go to trial. Also, don't they have plea bargaining in the US? Could he have been willing to testify against others? Or have I watched too many movies?

Rivkka · 10/08/2019 23:05

That photo can't be real.

ssd · 10/08/2019 23:13

What photo

BlackberryBeret · 10/08/2019 23:18

@ isabellerossignol

Also, don't they have plea bargaining in the US?

Yes - that's what happened in his first criminal trial and the victims were trying to get it overturned. Watch this -

kmc1111 · 10/08/2019 23:20

I think it’s likely he killed himself, but that still means he was given the opportunity to kill himself, which shouldn’t have been possible whilst on suicide watch. At the very least it seems like people were paid off or threatened into turning a blind eye.

Livelovebehappy · 10/08/2019 23:20

There were so many big and powerful people involved and some damning papers have just been released too. I won’t waste sympathy or tears on this man as he committed horrific crimes against vulnerable young women, but it’s very frustrating that there will now be no trial which would surely have seen a lot of big names exposed. I have a feeling that very powerful beings will arrange for all the investigations to go away and we will never know what really happened.

RosaWaiting · 10/08/2019 23:26

I’m also wondering what photo people are referring to, surely nothing would be released.

Lyingonthesofainthedark · 10/08/2019 23:27

Nobody is surprised.

Shortstuff99 · 10/08/2019 23:35

Hard to see why a disgraced millionaire society paedo with a ruined reputation and facing life in jail where he would be the most hated man there, might want to top himself!?

HeatedRollers · 10/08/2019 23:38

Andy should retire from public life, I don't want him representing my country or receiving public funding.

BlackberryBeret · 10/08/2019 23:41

Read what I posted above linking to his wikipedia page about his last spell in jail which didn't really sound much like jail at all. If he'd been suicidally inclined, there is no way he'd have done it now pre-trial. He'd basically got off lightly once before with a good plea deal and served his time almost as if in an open prison paying prison for services apparently.

He had top lawyers working for him and if reports are to be believed a huge amount of powerful bargaining material. It may have been different if he had been convicted on the second trial and been sentenced to life - but he still had a lot of reasons to hope not least his past experience both of his plea deal and his time in jail.

My opinion is suicide at this point in time not a chance.

StoneofDestiny · 10/08/2019 23:46

The whole thing stinks, including the way for the last 12 months or more the 'Fergie might remarry Andrew' thing has been dominating the tabloids and internet. So obvious something was behind the ludicrous coverage of the possible remarriage and his daughters romances.
A 'let's not dwell on the fact he was a great friend of a paedophile' and think instead of 'daddy and the father of the brides'.

We are all being played here.

Tengel · 10/08/2019 23:47

There were some allegations against prince Andrew a decade ago but all completely rebuffed. It’s a huge smear to say he was involved.

StoneofDestiny · 10/08/2019 23:51

Retire? He needs to get a job to retire from!
I detest the whole idea of monarchy, constantly sapping public funds to fund extravagant weddings of irrelevant distant royals like Andrews kids. If Charles wants to keep the monarchy he needs to shrink it down to himself and his heir.

BritWifeinUSA · 10/08/2019 23:52

I absolutely believe it was suicide. He would have been mauled to death in prison here as anyone convicted of sexual offenses is. He was looking at around 40 years so there was no way he was getting out with a pulse. He just expedited the process. It’s not uncommon.
