Just that really...

You don't have to be a committed conspiracy theorist to think there just might be something funny going on with this.

VenusTiger · 10/08/2019 18:50

But he won’t be brought to justice will he?

Lepetitpiggy · 10/08/2019 18:52

That's true, but still, there are all sorts of comments about how all the 'powerful figures' must be so relieved. How, if everyone knows who they are?

Tellmetruth4 · 10/08/2019 18:52

How did an extremely high profile inmate on suicide watch manage to get hold of stuff to kill himself and have enough time alone to do it?

BlackberryBeret · 10/08/2019 18:56

But (excuse me if I'm being a bit slow) as the papers are all open and name names, surely the perpetrators will be known, and brought to justice anyway?

@Lepetitpiggy

"The papers" that were unsealed refers only to papers that were filed in a separate civil suit brought by Virigina Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell in which she claimed she was recruited by Maxwell at Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump’s resort in Palm Beach, when she was 16 years old.

That was a civil not a criminal case and was settled. These will be limited documents that relate only to Giufre and that case. It is not a general order to unseal or go through everything Epstein related.

SexFarmWoman · 10/08/2019 18:56

but where was the suicide watch after the first attempt?

I dunno, I guess the only obvious answer is that he had been taken off it. But yes, I'm sure there are many people who wanted him silenced for good.
My point was just that in his situation, the kind of person he was, the life he'd been used to, and the future he was facing, I don't think that suicide per se would be implausible.

SexFarmWoman · 10/08/2019 18:57

Sorry, the DESIRE to commit suicide I should have said.

ComeOnGordon · 10/08/2019 18:59

@VenusTiger he’s dead so he won’t be brought to justice but there are so many more powerful men allegedly implicated in the documents - Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, a Harvard professor to name a few.

For the sake of the many under age girls who were allegedly abused by these men, I hope the investigation continues

Lepetitpiggy · 10/08/2019 19:00

Thank you!

VenusTiger · 10/08/2019 19:02

@ComeOnGordon I know, I was responding to @Lepetitpiggy

DickieDonkey · 10/08/2019 19:03

Read the headline and instantly thought it was an inside job. But good riddance to a vile, abusive pervert.

Rivkka · 10/08/2019 19:08

If he was on suicide watch as reported no idea where he got the sheets to hang himself. It's odd

Banangana · 10/08/2019 19:19

I think it was suicide and he's a prime candidate like a pp stated. But seeing as he was on suicide watch where they're supposed to be under constant observation with no means of harming themselves, he obviously had help.

ballsdeep · 10/08/2019 19:36

Just read up on it.. Ergh what a horrible bastard
Apparently the camera malfunctioned at the time he hanged himself 🤔🤔🤔

CorBlimeyGovenor · 10/08/2019 19:39

However did Prince Andrew escape scrutiny/charges re allegations of sleeping with an underage prostitute?! And still, he's slimed his way under the radar.

LauraKsWhiteCoat · 10/08/2019 19:39

Theyve just said on Channel 4 News that he was no longer on suicide watch.

Weird.

ssd · 10/08/2019 19:43

Did anyone see the bit on the news about him recently stating trump had nothing to do with epstein and the young girls and that the files on him and Prince Andrew have disappeared?
Dh said straight away he'll be found dead in his cell he knows too much. Now he's dead. Even though it states he was on suicide watch.

HandsOffMyRights · 10/08/2019 19:45

I don't believe it was suicide. Its just too convenient.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 10/08/2019 19:49

He knew far too much about too many influential people... and dead men tell no tales.

I wondered how long it would be after the first 'attempt'.

Mia184 · 10/08/2019 19:53

According to the Sun, Andrew and Fergie have „rekindled“ their relationship 😂You couldn‘t make it up....

YeOldeTrout · 10/08/2019 20:26

Epstein had the last 12 yrs to name powerful people or embarass them or drag them into his muck (he dragged a load into his muck already). Who inherits his fortune? That's what I want to know.

the civil suits against his estate & associates continue regardless.

Helpfindme · 10/08/2019 20:35

Well the photo of him leaving the prison is definitely him, although why would they let him be photographed dead? Looks like trauma to the face and ears and a neck brace. I am sure I read he was found dead in prison. Couldn't have been if he had a neck brace on.

IceIceCoffee · 10/08/2019 20:45

It is very convenient

LauraKsWhiteCoat · 10/08/2019 21:04

just seen the photos.. if he was dead, why didn't they cover his face?

I also find it odd that they're reporting it as suicide. The news, at least in the UK, never presumes suicide until it has been decided by a coroner. They usually say 'found dead in his cell' and let the public draw their own conclusions.
