517 days until Inauguration Day 2021. I'm no longer counting until the election because we are not going to have a 'Lame Duck' period with Scrotus. In fact, it'll be the reverse. He and his GOP cronies are going to force through everything they can in the last months, when they needn't fear losing an election. He's already been in office 943 days (of hell).
Although DH says he was prattling on again yesterday about staying in office longer than the constitutionally allowed two terms. But that should be easy for the 'King of Israel' and 'The Chosen One', shouldn't it? Sorry Scrotus, I know you think you're the Second Coming but those two titles have already been taken by Someone Else. So, as we say: "You may think you're hot shit in a champagne glass, baby, but you ain't nothin' but cold diarrhea in a Dixie Cup".
Thanks SanFran. I thought you were here, too!! I think I've got the private vs NHS kinda figured out. It pays for when you don't want to use the NHS, right? So if someone wants to give birth in the Lindo Wing, they'd use private insurance to pay for it. We still have no idea what will happen here, but I think having the option is good. I'd have no problem paying my 'fair share' of taxes to fund a 'US NHS' as well as paying premiums (if affordable) for the option for faster or different care.
