Any mumsnetters who live in Gretna Green? Long shot

I am getting married in Gretna Green on 3rd August - yay! However...

We go to Greece on Friday for backwards honeymoon before main event (I know it’s weird, but there are good reasons!).

The hotel in Gretna will store my dress if I courier it - but only folded up under a desk in the office!

I have messaged a bridal shop in Annan to see if they would store it for a fee, but they’re not open until tomorrow so I don’t know if they can yet.

No guests can bring it with them as there are no guests- were having a party for everyone when home.

So just wondering, very long shot, if any kind Gretna based mumsnetter would hang my dress in a wardrobe from Thursday this week or Friday until Saturday 3rd.

Appreciate the oddness of the request but I am worried if I take it to Greece, airline might lose luggage or any manner of things...

So you are going straight from honeymoon to Gretna? Not home first? Seems very odd! Do tell!

Can you leave it in Glasgow and collect in train station?

I can’t leave it in Glasgow as we’re flying from Birmingham to Greece and then back to Glasgow for train to Gretna then back to Birmingham from Glasgow on the Sunday.

I really just want it hung up in its dress bag thing and then I have a handheld steamer that can probably get any creases out with but if it’s folded up fit all that time it’ll be too creased I think, and it’ll be awful 😥

I live in Glasgow if that's of any use? Depends on your timings - I'm not especially near the airport/station - other side of the city - and I don't drive.

Thank you for offers - I have four hours from landing in Glasgow to getting train to Gretna- is that too short for you helpful Glasgow people - we will not have a car but can get taxis!

Just realised how far it is - would not ask you to drive to Gretna!! But would def buy you a glass of champers in Glasgow if we could collect it from you somewhere easy! 🙂

Get it sent to my house, I’ll drive it in next Friday, meet you at central, we’ll have w glass of champagne and you can riddle off to Gretna.
