It sounds inconsequential and kooky in isolation but it's all part of a more general endarkenment we're seeing these days, i.e the increase in parents who refuse to vaccinate their kids.

The reason the horizon looks fake is because the atmosphere is thinner on the moon so you don't get the blue haze caused by our thicker atmosphere here on earth.

This kind of wilful stupidity does start to affect people's lives though. It's all part of the anti-vaxxers, climate change deniers "we're too clever to be duped" mindset. Or deliberate astroturfing. It should be refuted with evidence. It shouldn't be engaged with though - it just amplifies the stupidity I realise I'm breaking this rule.

So they photoshopped the moon landing even though photoshop wasn’t invented until 1988 and killed JFK for revealing a supposed hoax that happened 6 years after his death.

I like to keep a sense of humour about conspiracy theories but I do find this one to be in poor taste. What a huge insult to everyone who worked on that landing. Do you really have so little faith in humanity that you think we can't send a rocket to the Moon? You're either too thick to understand the science behind it or you're just joking around. I'll choose to believe the latter.
