Totally superficial I know but I think she looks absolutely fantastic.

You only need to look at her mother who is 64 to see where the genes come from.

waterallday · 14/07/2019 13:06

@formerbabe HmmConfused

waterallday · 14/07/2019 13:07

@WorraLiberty Exactly! I know loads of people who are super slim but are able to gorge themselves on treats all the time and not look any different 😂

WorraLiberty · 14/07/2019 13:09

waterallday, some also just have smaller appetites and can't/don't eat past being full.

ScrambledToe · 14/07/2019 13:10

If someone made all my meals and took the thinking out of it for me I’d eat much much better than I do Blush

EllebellyBeeblebrox · 14/07/2019 13:11

I think she's stunning, very healthy and toned looking. I would love to have a figure like that however my natural big boned build, love of cheese and hatred of most exercise prevents it.

silverystream · 14/07/2019 13:11

I think it could be also that she never got overweight.

I've been as slim as her in the past. I've also been overweight. I got overweight after having D.C. then hurting my back so exercise was difficult for a while. I got that slim from doing low carb combined with calorie counting. It was exceptionally easy to maintain for a number of years. However after having D.C. I started cooking more traditional meals and lost sight of portion sizes. Now I'm quite slim again after reducing my portions, logging food on FitBit to ensure a deficit and cutting starchy carbs and sugar. I've also started running about 5k just about every day. It's working but I've still a bit more fat to lose before I'm as slim as I was.

formerbabe

I don't know where you live, but it must be a very exceptional place. I see skinny or very slim women every day, mothers and middle aged women included.

It's a weird world if for some people eating high protein, low fat, low carb is a special "diet".

If someone wants to be a size 20, no one is stopping them Hmm
but it's very sad if people look down at skinny women pretending they are unnatural, or worst, not "real women".
I am sure Kate felt a lot of pressure to lose baby weight quicker than most, but her body shape is not exceptional.

Jojobears · 14/07/2019 13:13

Can you imagine how horrible it must be to log onto a website and find everyone critiquing your body.

She is beautiful, but I wouldn’t want to live in that goldfish bowl for all the tea in China

OhTheRoses · 14/07/2019 13:14

Way she's made and she's still in her 30s when it's easier. Possibly drinks v little, low carb, no sugar. I was v skinny in my 20s - struggled to gain.

I now identify more with Sophie Wessex who is more hale and hearty.

None of us know how Diana would have matured. I'd be interested as am same age and similar build but a few inches shorter.

WhenOneFacePalmDoesntCutIt · 14/07/2019 13:15

some also just have smaller appetites and can't/don't eat past being full.

if you are used to eat smaller portions, even from childhood, you physically can't start eating giant servings.

Some posters believe you should finish your plate in a restaurant, I am sorry but portions are made for everyone so what might be great for a 6 foot man can be too much for a slim woman. It's not being precious, it's just as obvious as saying my 5 year old eat less than I do.

It's what you are used to. Not sure why we feel the need to look down or criticise people with a healthy appetite, it's not a rite of passage to be fat at some point of your life.

AllOverIt · 14/07/2019 13:15

Combination of genetics, high metabolism, strength and toning exercises and healthy balanced diet I'd say. Her whole family have the same tall, lean, toned physique.

Don't much like the royals at all, but object to comments like 'too thin'. Ugh. Body shaming for whatever reason is mean and says more about the person commenting than it does about the victim.

LoafofSellotape · 14/07/2019 13:17

She has an enviable figure and looks very healthy

I don't know how anyone can tell she's healthy? So did Diana but that wasn't true, was it?

Incidentally, we all thought of Diana as slim/ thin/gorgeous figure etc ,a quick Google of images and she looks so 'well covered' as my grandmother used to say compared to Kate who is miniscule these days.

Teateaandmoretea · 14/07/2019 13:17

She looks great for her age.

She's like what 38...?

I have a similar physique and height to her, although I'm not as thin (am 10-12).

If I bothered to really watch what I ate (ate consistently healthily under 2000 calories a day) and did the right exercise balance I could have her figure (her hair otoh is a forlorn dream). I really cba though, life is too short Winkand tbf I'm happy as I am.

Teateaandmoretea · 14/07/2019 13:18

And for the record I'm older Grin

Ayla88 · 14/07/2019 13:19

I am loathe to pick her body and appearance apart, but I do always think she looks lovely pregnant and just post-baby when she is a little bit heavier

Thump · 14/07/2019 13:20

I used to live in a southern European country for a year. When I came back here, I literally couldn't get over the size of everyone at the airport! It was like Honey I've blew up the Nation! At least a size 12, with most being a very hefty 14/16 and a lot of obese on top of that.
Where I lived, the norm would have been about a size 6 - size 8 at the most.

If you look at Eastern European women here - they are in the main - very slim - usually a 6/8.

Even 'slim' Brits would be more likely to be a size 10.

It's what you get used to looking at around you I suppose.

Sandybval · 14/07/2019 13:20

I think she looks absolutely gorgeous, and to be as active as she is must be eating enough to keep her sustained. I have friends who look similarish and they are a combo of naturally slim and keep themselves in shape.

constantlyseekinghappiness · 14/07/2019 13:21

Disgusting comment on here.

‘Orthorexia’ and ‘famine victim’.

Kate looks very fit and healthy.

Perhaps we as women should stop judging other women about their size and just focus on ourselves eh Hmm

I really can’t stand skinny or thin shaming.

WhenOneFacePalmDoesntCutIt · 14/07/2019 13:21

I don't know how anyone can tell she's healthy?
they can't, but no one can say she is unhealthy either.

What you have to admit is the pressure she must feel to be a certain weight. No one forced her to wear a dress when she had a newborn for example, other royals wore trousers, she is choosing what image to present to the world, that's her right.

GibbonLover · 14/07/2019 13:22

Kate is too thin for what exactly?

Too thin to be beautiful? What is beautiful? Isn't it just an opinion? William and millions of other people think she is.
Too thin to be healthy? The woman probably gets the best medical attention in the country, I'm sure there's nothing wrong with her.
Too thin to love her children? Bollocks, you can tell she adores them all from the photos we see.
Too thin to make other people feel better about their own perceived faults? Yes, possibly.

UnaCorda · 14/07/2019 13:22

1 grape, 2 lettuce leaves and an almond.

Ooh, I'd question the almond.

HelloyouKant · 14/07/2019 13:22

She eats fuck all! Not that hard - it’s making me hungry just thinking about it 🍟🍟🍟

formerbabe · 14/07/2019 13:24

There's no thin shaming from me.

Kate looks amazing but she does look thin and I don't believe it's easy to achieve.

WhenOneFacePalmDoesntCutIt · 14/07/2019 13:25

Thump
that is so very true!

I also remember being amazed in the states, after constantly hearing that "americans are fat, only eat supersized version of everything". Sure, there are obese Americans, but there are also a huge amount of super slim and fit people! It wasn't the fact that they existed, but how most of them looked so fit.

I think us Brits should shut up about appearances...
